I thought maybe there would be some announcement today but no. Anyone know any news of when we will find out something?

    Hehe don't do that - don't say 'NHL 22 trailer' without a question mark.😉😬

    I got my pulse up...

The answer you looking for is a hot subject in

    https://forums.ea.com/en/nhl/discussion/272947/nhl22-beta-confirmed/p7

If you don't got the time to read it - 'no one knows any news yet'.

My guess late August first trailer - news about the game, first half of August..? 🙄🤔

EA has been VERY tight-lipped this year about any NHL 22 news.

Exactly and it's stupid. They use to make it a 3-4 month drawn out process. Now they only drag it out two months at most. And I think it kills any buzz that the game could generate.

It would definitely make things more interesting.

Im been ready to hype/discuss any NHL22 related sence way back - but whats more to say then we (probebly) will get a new game engine. Other then that, it's just speculatation and some guessing - neither so fun, or interesting.

Aaaand 21 feels over - I dont have the energy or motivation to connect with 21 anymore - I think everything that need to be said, have been said.

The game itself - I do my 1 or 2, good nights might even be 3 - games, each day.

But I feel it's just a looong wait - right now.

I find 'silly season' to be the most interesting to follow right now, when I need that boost hockey gives me.

But Damn - give - us - something, what do I have to do for some news - im starving! 😫😓

Tight lipped is when they are most scary for the worse on us consumers.
  • @Sega82mega the worst of it is that I think EA actually has tangible things they could talk about and go in depth into especially if they bring the game to another gaming engine. They could milk that discussion for a good month if they wanted to.

    Just give us something!

Yeah exactly - dosent have to be that big - maan, I could even settle with just some words - from the developers of the game, telling us they are excited to show us what they been working on - or something like that.

But we are out in the dark here - at least we're all in the same boat, here.
  • Why even care about news for NHL 22?

They aren't going to make any changes to the game to make it more like hockey. It will be the same figure-skating exploit fest, with no physical play or loose pucks. They will show some flashy new graphics, animations, and dekes you see once a year and use some slick marketing language ("hypermotion") to drum up fake excitement. What good is a new engine if they can't even be bothered to fix skating backwards with the puck as an exploit for three years? They will make no changes to how the game is played or the awful AI, and then just disappoint everyone again. We have all been burned by EA too many times to fall for it again.

Have they even really made a significant improvement to gameplay since the skill stick in NHL 07? The skating is maybe somewhat better but still nowhere near what it should be, players have no momentum and float on the ice rather than skate on it.

If I didn't care - I would see no point of 'following/playing' this game serie.

I do value my time more then doing things I dont even like/feel intrest for.

Crazy thing but some people actually enjoy playing NHL series year in and year out even if they complain about it. And also what you consider broken/unrealistic might simply be things they are OK with in the game until they make a change they feel is better. There won't really be changes to the game on Xbox One/Playstation 4. The changes are coming to Xbox Series/ Playstation 5.

Yep this is true. Wish they’d give an online mode more based in reality though. I don’t care that the kiddos want to float around and pretend it takes some insane level of time and energy to learn how to press LT and hold RS out. That’s fine, I’ll gladly stay away. Just give me a mode where some sort of resemblance of real hockey can also be played. Idk why we only have the choice between very arcade, super arcade, and extreme arcade online.

If they were to bring back GM Connected I'd love to see the ability to customize sliders for your league that people would have to play under. I feel like that would be a huge thing for gamers like you who want what they feel is the best realistic hockey experience and also have the option to invite like minded people to enjoy your season.

That would be the dopest thing any modern hockey game have seen!

In my book - your always welcome.

As we already been sayin - crossplay, then we hit the ice.

Hopefully the game is enough good so we dosent have to put too much energy on that kinda stuff.

Just enjoy the ride - together, without being E-A 'd.
