First of all I am not trying to attack the champ here. He is obviously one of the best players playing this game, but one of my biggest gripes in this series is that the strategies don't really matter that much. For ex. he is trying to explain the forecheck systems and either he just doesn't care or his understanding of the systems are lacking, resulting that the dots resembling players are all over the place on his board. I totally get that this is just a videogame where enjoyment and success shouldn't be solely reserved to those who know the sport in and out, but I kinda wish that the NHL series would be in a place where world's number one player should have some deep understanding of the actual sport not just quirks of the videogame.
In conjunction with these shallower influencer videos, I would like to see EA bringing back actual hockey coaches like Marc Crawford once explaining different strategies and player positioning. Up that a bit and explain when to use different strats, like when to forecheck or when it's better to retreat in the neutral zone or when to attack slowly instead of pushing the pace. Show the details and the different roles of the players in the foreceheck, tell the players when to engage the puck carrier etc. Obviously that would need a complete overhaul of the AI and the archaic systems, but I sure have some hope before the Frostbite comes.

For a mode that involves AI players, you 100% should need some hockey knowledge to be successful. Setting your AI to a strategy that works for you and against your opponent should be part of the “skill” involved, but line you said that would require some huge updates to the AI and the available list of strategies.
