Welcome to the first HUT Event of the year, Superstar Origins! If you watched our HUT Deep Dive then you know we’ve teased this event already but we’re excited to share the full details with you today.
Let’s start by talking about Event Objectives. We know you all enjoy event objectives so we’re going to make sure they’re included in most events going forward. For this week there are 6 objectives for you to complete, each earning you a superstar origins collectible and if you complete them all, a powerup collectible.

Complete all objectives to unlock a Power Up Collectible.
These objectives are inspired by our 6 master set players, Auston Matthews, Jaromir Jagr, Tuukka Rask, Victor Hedman, Seth Jones, and Nick Suzuki.
A complimentary 10 day loan choice pack will be available in the store for all players and will include a 91 OVR Jaromir Jagr or Auston Matthews that you can use on your team for the duration of the two week event!

SETS
We now can set overall requirements for sets in NHL 22 which will allow us to be a lot more creative with how you can acquire players from each event. You’ll notice that right away with the sets you can do to unlock these new master items!
For example, there are now sets to build master set players that require event collectibles and other OVR requirements.
These set requirements should allow your players to better maintain value throughout the year, let you engage with more content based on the items you have, and allow for more overall flexibility. Here are all the sets that will be available.

If you’re unable to complete any set during the two week event, indefinite sets will also be available at the start of each event. They are slightly more costly than the actual event sets but allow you to create any player you’re specifically chasing during the season.
