Hi guys.

I noticed there's a bunch of young upcoming talent with great future ahead missing from my Franchise mode playing with Florida Panthers. So, let's make a list of missing roster players in the hopes of having EA add them to the game on later updates. I'll start off with Florida Panthers roster and I'll add your posts to this post as well.

- F Henrik Borgstrom (23rd overall) <- went to university
- D Ian Mccoshen (31st overall)
- G Colin Stevens (undrafted) <- in game

- F Maxim Mamin (175th overall) <- plays in KHL
- D Benjamin Finkelstein (195th overall)

  • Last I checked Rihards Bukarts is in the WHL... maybe do some research first and google the guys before posting that they are not in the game... cause it's dudes like you who post that they are missing and EA ends up creating them and then we have two of them
  • Some of those guys are in the game already but guys like Borgstrom who play for universities cant be added until they play in professional league.

According to eliteprospects.com Rihards Bukarts joined the Springfield Thunderbirds 13.09.2016 from Portland Winterhawks.

There is an option to move players to new teams... or wait it out till he plays a game with them and a roster update I guess... your choosing
  • Yeah I meant this thread to be about players missing from teams, but I'll edit it so tha it says if the player is in the game but not in the roster
  • updated those whom are in game. EA seriously needs to add these loaned deals and not just make them permanent. Our AHL team currently has 3-5 players who are there with no contract
  • Edmonton Oilers
-Kris Versteeg: can't find him in free agents or on any other team

He's in the game!!!!!!!!!!!!! actually look before posting guys that are already in the game... if you don't actually take time to look at the rosters then please don't post...

Kris Versteeg isn't even signed with the Oilers. He's at training camp on a Professional Try Out (PTO).

Ya but he is still in the game
  • Yes, he is most certainly in the game, and I agree, people need to check this stuff before blindly posting that "Player A" is not in the game. My beef is with people saying "Player A" isn't on "Team B". This is the pre-season, there are going to be a lot of players that are going to appear on teams rosters right now, that are not going to play in the NHL come the regular season. There could be junior players that may get a look at a few NHL games and get sent back to the the CHL. This is why EA does a roster update after the season has started. There is going to be a lot of movement in the next couple of weeks so when late October rolls around and you see something wrong (roster wise) then you should bring it to EA's attention.
  • whoa, calm down. I couldn't find him on any roster so I thought I would ask for your help. I guess that was asking too much.

But if those players are still "owned" by a team, for example university players, etc. they should still be there. Just like for example Panthers have Ang, whom they drafted this year. He's in their roster, but does not have a contract yet, you are able to sign him during the next offseason.

Now you could simply make these university players in same fashion. Sign them in their third year or something. It's really stupid we're missing so many good prospects because of this stuff
  • EA has an agreement with the ECHL, CHL, AHL, NHL and the European Leagues. They are legally not allowed to include players not in those leagues. That means that players drafted by NHL teams, who opted to go to university cannot appear in this game.

Well that explains that then, thanks. I hope these players not in UNI though get added to the game, listed on my first post

A lot of the guys you have listed are coming from the NCAA. I'm sure they will be included in the October roster update.
  • Guys EA has to follow the contract they have with the NHL and NHLPA. Before any player can be added to the game he needs to either play in a regular season NHL game and therefore by default become part of the NHLPA or sign a waiver to appear in the game.

The AHL snd Juniors is tricky because it's strictly waiver based and they literally have to travel around and try to get players to sign the waiver.

Yes it sucks because it limits how quickly and who is added to the game but this is beyond EAs control. If it were up to them everyone would be added right away but it's not.
Do, or do not, there is no try
