Can anyone get past the 2017 draft in Franchise Mode?

I just finished my first year with the Oilers and every time I try to start the draft, the game crashes. Do any of you guys have this issue, or is it just me?

Replies

  • I've had no issues with it. Which console do you play on?
  • Xbox. I might just restart and hopefully it'll work.
  • I have gone past the draft on my franchise without an issue.

If you could post what happens if when you try to run the draft and we'll see if we can get a possible fix and if this is a bigger issue then jusT a few users.
Do, or do not, there is no try
  • Well yeah it's crashing because your the Edmonton Oilers lol try playing as Detroit and you shouldnt have any problems

    Lol good one NLucaj.

SirPsychoT, When I hit 'Start Draft' it'll attempt to bring me into the next screen, but then i'll get booted to the dashboard.

I'm gonna create a new save and sim through to the draft and see if I still crash

Edit: It seems to have worked... weird.

  • Sometimes a save file can get corrupted, maybe to be safe double save the game at the end of the night just in case the one your one has an issue.

This a great idea as this has happened to me before. Also, I don't remember if this happened to me in NHL 16 or NHL 14 on last gen, but I seem to recall during the then Be A GM mode, if I had accumulated a ton of draft picks (like say over 15) in one draft the game would freeze for me when I reached the draft, so I would simply trade away some of the draft picks until I had about 11 or less and then the game would stop freezing. I don't know if this same issue happens in NHL 17's Franchise Mode as I haven't started one yet.
