You should communicate to him positively about his actions. Otp is the training ground for learning the basics of a new position or for practicing for when you play club or do drafts. It's a no pressure atmosphere where you have more freedom to experiment cause ya know..it's otp.

    @ venom

    no don't play goalie

    Huh?

He doesn't play goalie, doesn't want to play goalie. He just wants to right to complain about them when they can't save all the shots he and his fellow forwards and d-men can't be arsed to prevent from getting to the net.

Move along people... Nothing else to see in this thread. Mods? This thread is done, methinks...

You should try it... might change your views on us f***ing goalies that keep inferior teams in play. Funny... I've played with "inferior" teams and, as luck would have it, they were never kept in a game. Even when I received 35 shots and saved 30 of them, we still lost 5-0. I guess it's my fault my team only shot 9 times and wasn't able to score.

But please, give human goalie a shot. See how much fun it is... It's almost as much fun as playing as a DANGLING forward. Really!

    Na, pass.

AAAAAAAnd there it is folks. The arrogant tool response that doesn't care how the game is played so long as it's his way. Dangle snipe celly for days bruh!

Thanks for completely discrediting your own original post LOL.

Oh what a tangled web we weave... When we play the game to deceive...

I had a drop in where the goalie let in 10 goals, no one was chirping him or giving him a hard time so he stayed the whole game. There should be a limit though, you shouldn't have to bash on someone and be an a** to get someone to leave, auto kick after 6 or 7 if it's a blowout (up more than 4-5 goals). Their goalie quit at the start of the game so we had 3 goals on around 20 shots at the end of the game, hard to compete against even the replacement AI goalie when your goalie is trash.

I'm jsut saying . I have a really good record playing with otp people who really astonish me with their poor play...

whats truly a marvel is their inability to adapt and doing the same thing over and over that doesn't work .

my record would be even better if it wasn't for terrible human goalies . I can carry the team to overcome most deficiencies, I just need the goalie to be average . soemthing most tenders in drop are not .

I understand. You say people have an inability to adapt, yet you refuse to play one single game as goalie.

Practically every drop in game is the same. Either the goalie totally s **** s or there is always a moron regardless of his selected position.

I have seen WAY more times people selecting D when in fact they are constantly on the rush and never intended to play D, or forwards who refuse to backcheck and just cherry pick.

Drop ins are a drool cup holder's paradise. Too many Forrest Gumps playing it.
  • I dont see the relevance for me.to have to play in net as it pertains to my original subject .

don't know why people insist on changing the narrative.

Just try it for a single game. Only then will you even just start to grasp what people have to go through that consistently play the position and who will always do so to the best of their ability.

I play goalie 90% of the time and will always do my best. I will even refuse to fight the other goalie 99% of the time. I take the position and its responsibility very seriously but it is pure luck when I find 5 other like-minded people on my team in drop ins. Almost all the time all I see are puck chasing morons or the player(s) that simply will not play as his selected position(s) dictates.
  • I've played goalie, hands down highest skill gap in the game. It is insanely hard unless the team in front of you is ridiculously good.

bottom line.. is a good Human goalie in EASHL 17 > than AI goalie

usually good players can tell when a human goalie is good or not.. and if you are and they notice you in otp you will start getting request to play with them.. and that always is a cool feeling when others you don't know keep asking you to play in net for them

ps. unrelated question but if you leave club and come back does it reset your stats for that club?

Nice post. And yes, it resets stats for that club. So you can leave the club and come back if you want to wipe and clean your stats within the club.

While I agree with what was said, I didn't say that...

That's all the relevance my friend. I was about the 3rd or 4th post on this thread and I remember asking
"were you communicating with the goalie, trying to help in any way? have you played goalie before? were there any pointers you could offer him?"

I guess the answer was "na, I'll just come on to the forums and dump on 1 goalie in a drop having never had the experience." You felt so strongly that "trash goalies" need to be kicked that you came here to tell everyone about it. Yet, never player nor are willing to?
  • I'm sure a lot of goalies are tired of the "defense" or lack there of in a lot of drop ins. Double edged sword my friend.
