I haven't bought the last couple versions, I'm considering getting back into it in NHL 18, hopefully like 3 years is enough for them to actually make a decent product on this generation of consoles >.>
The only people playing are the true die hards. I have a feeling this might be the least played edition in a long time.
I've been playing a lot of this also, but noticed it isnt that much better. The ease and frequency the computer retains the puck is ****. Havent played much online, but its the usual antics as prior years.
Work schedule pretty much ruins club for me. always working prime time hours. Would definately enjoy it/hate it more if i could spend more time in club then drop-ins/Hut. Going to start Be a pro single player. thats what got me back into hockey in 09.
Game play caters to pick control exploiters because that's how the Game changers wanted it. The game isn't realistic. Also, Madden's Ultimate Team mode is so much more compelling; maybe people are playing that. Plus, FIFA just came out. And HUT sucks, which could be why one of the producers got fired.
That's odd because I think it's the best one in years. The last couple were not so good
Not to be rude but were you brutal in the older games? Maybe you're enjoying it now that you're having some games go your way? Just trying to make sense out of how some people claim that they're enjoying this.
Any of my friends that played this series that had any skill are long long gone. That being said, the god awful ones that never cared to get any better still play.
Ive always been fairly decent at NHL in 14/15 I was top 500 in HUT, I have definitely scaled my playing back but thats more due to my job/family. While this year does have its issues I still think once that stuff gets fixed this'll be a pretty solid year. Im still playing at a pretty high level and enjoying 6's in club and HUT so far.

I agree... I actually like this game a lot. It is different enough to keep you interested... It took me a solid 50 games to actually get used to this game to try to get to the level I was at in NHL16...
only complaint (which isn't a fair complaint to some people) was I built a pretty beast team in about a week... I think it should take longer personally but its fun to have good guys
Definitely seems that way just off the market alone not sure if it's just people not buying but I remember when Crosby was a mil for most of a games Duration now he is like 500k weeks into the game lol I mean I bought stamkos for 175k it's definitely different this year
I love this game. A whole lot better than last year's cross crease cheese fest. When I get scored on its my fault not pure luck. It just seems more realistic than years past too. If you cycle the puck well and put shots on goal you are rewarded. Also the goalies are alot better this year. I have had game where my goalie is actually keeping me in the game because I have a goalie that has a good rating.
It has been alot better and I feel the better your players are the better your team plays. Which is a welcome change to years past.
