Why are the online scrub hunters being catered to?

HUT:
-Showing the top rated player from your team at the match-up screen. I don't even have a Crosby/Ovi, but the amount of people that back out when Perry shows up is getting annoying.
-Why are we STILL showing goalie records before a game? I feel like I'm gonna have to go offline and quit out of a bunch of games on purpose (and burn a ton of contracts in the process) just so people stick around when they see that my record is over .500.
EASHL: The prestige levels are cool and all, but it's scaring people off. I was playing with a club a couple nights ago where we just couldn't get a game started. We got matched up with the same three teams, and every single time they would back out. I messaged one and was given the following response: "Tell your level 40 friends to go outside and get a life." Okay then. It's like in the last-gen days where you could "scout" other teams and see their player rating, resulting in nearly every game being paused before the opening faceoff and the other team leaving if they were scared.
The solution? Why, it's simple! DON'T show the highest rated player in the HUT match-up screen. DON'T show goalie records before a game. DON'T show off prestige levels to other teams in EASHL.
Thanks.

as for HUT, everytime an opponent backs out thats not latency related. I think they should be punished someway; maybe receive less pucks for next game, and the other a puck multiplier.
Undertaker or whatever his name is boasts about being a scrub hunter but says it's justified to "weed out the glitchers"... nah. You're just a chicken *.
Also Ben acknowledged how the top player was a bad idea and I pitched the idea of mannequins like in a pro shop window wearing the unis or going MLB the show style and only showing the jerseys.
Hopefully they change both.
I love Scrub hunting its so satisfying

Oh I completely agree that prestige numbers don't mean anything. But yeah, the literal response I got was saying that level 40 prestige (not even P1) meant that our club had no life and they wouldn't play us because of it.
Yeah, I'm running into the same issue. I played through the offline seasons in order to save enough coins to buy a good team, and nobody's playing me because Luongo and Bishop are each like 50-0 lol.
To be fair though a lot of people are like me where you see 50-0 and expect a good team only to experience intense input delay and the feeling of skating through mud against someone that isn't that great. I like the challenge and don't back out of the games but can assume a lot of people use it as an indication of what kind of garbage game it's going to be. The leaderboards are full of people that have connections that are just working for them somehow.
Right on queue!
BINGO!!! You can literally see your opponent buzzing around the ice at turbo speed while you are handicapped.
That may be so, but I can't count the number of games I have tried to play where my players are stuck in mud, the network performance meter is "good", and my opponents are turbo boosted all game long no matter what I do. When I end up either losing or rage-quitting I see most of the time my opponent is very high ranked and leveled with some ridiculously good record. I'm quite sure they didn't get this record because they are really an elite player and it's more of a latency advantage on their part.
I don't understand how the network performance meter can say 20ms and I'll have lag/delay issues, but then I can play a 45ms game and have it be crispy like it's supposed to be.
