basically whatever strategies you select you as the human players have to play it as well, you can not go off course and do your own thing as your not buying into the systems which makes the AI try to cover up for your mistakes which in the end makes them look even more **** then they actually are.
But in all seriousness just play 5v5 or 6v6 and not have AI on the ice at all

People say this but by my experience, this never happens. Everyone I play against chases the puck like crazy but they just get super all star AI to make up for them, meanwhile I play within my strategies and my defensemen get the puck, pin themselves with no one around, skate the puck into the goalie and then score on my own net.
I get 5's and 6's are better, I wish I could go back to playing that way but Ive lost so many teammates over the years because this game refuses to get any better. Most people I used to play with have moved on to other, better games. Plus, most of this community seems to be downright awful.
They need to get rid of AI altogether in EASHL, if I have 3 guys, then im playing 3v3. Would be so much better.
