Been playing HUT since its inception... the industry of this game mode appears to be unregulated, so EA is not obligated to advise us of packs odds of receiving a certain item.
It is known that EA can tweak the card yields....
I just tune out here, I can't. You say "appears to be unregulated" as if it might be but or even should be, but isn't.
It isn't "regulated" and they don't tell you what your odds are. Never Have Never Will.
OK? Quit crying like a little baby about it. Go play another mode, you've made this rant enough times. You're probably one of those **** in casinos who thinks all slot machines have to pay off at a certain rate or even at all.
EA can give you a smiley face flipping you off for your money and there's nothing you can do about it.
Actually slots do have to pay a % of what goes in and its close to 100% in most cases.
Nobody is per say crying, but this stuff needs statistics.
Just a guess but its probably 50% chance at an 85 rare, 25% 86, 15% 87, 5% 88, 1% 89.
really nothing we can do about it? everyone else had to do something about it why not EA? Are they exemot from this kind of regulation? I think not.
Are they losing people? Seems like it's going strong.
it will go strong for the month of november yet, but once movembers are done the game will slowly die. not to mention most gamers will have remorse on the amount of money they spent on virtual cards ( that are completely useless in 6 months) There will be lots of sellers online in the months coming. I would much rather see gamers sell coins to other gamers, rather then seeing people give EA sports money for **** overpriced packs

The fact the cards are useless in 6 months is so irrelevant. You go see a movie. You can't see it again for free. You go to a hockey game. That ticket is useless the moment they scan you in. It's entertainment. People spend there money on what they want.

^ Absolutely agree with this dude. If people are spending hundreds of dollars on this game thinking it is an investment that is going to pay dividends, they should feel remorse, because they are clueless. It is pure entertainment. It's not gambling or an investment, it is entertainment. IT IS A GAME. Many people buy a case of beer and get slammed, that is a terrible investment. I spend $$$ on NHL17 because it is fun. For me it is spending $$$ on a hobby I enjoy. The only people that complain it is a waste of money because the virtual cards are worthless in a few months are the ones that can't afford it.

Yep, I can go spend 650$ fer me and the wife to leave the island and go to vancouver and see the Canucks play and spend the night. That's 3-6 hours. If I spend 150$ extra on hut I prob play 100-200 hours in a year. Not bad value when looked at that way. But it's all relative.
i don't think think its fair that the few people that spend 1000's of dollars ruin it for it most other gamers. EA has these people by the balls. it shouldnt cost you 1000 dollars to play ultimate team.... but EA owns you idiots.
Remember when 17 launched and everyone was pulling great cards and I said EA will turn down the pack luck now that everyone is riding a high, pull terrible shut for a week just in time to be rescued by a promo pack?
The movie etc. analogy kinda falls down because with those forms of entertainment, you at least get what you paid for. And if you follow things even a bit, you know which movies will suck, so you can avoid them.
In HUT the 'enjoyment' gained is directly related to the pulls you get, and you don't know what you get in advance. But the odds are against you.
But isn't that in he mind of the person who is buying it? You go see a move. It's bad. Do you ask for your money back? If you go to a football game and no one scores a TD. Money back? I sure hope in life you folks aren't doing that. If you don't want to buy packs, dont. No one is forcing you to do so.

Ah, nope. I play HUT to build my team and play games. The 'enjoyment' as you say is not about the pulls for me. Even if you don't buy packs, looking at the market now you can but a pretty solid competitive team on the ice for almost quicksell prices. I enjoy playing the game and the experiences that go with it like last second goals in regulation and wins/losses in OT. It is entertainment to me, even more so than going to see a mediocre movie or paying hundreds of dollars to go watch my team lose 5-1. A nice pull certainly adds to the enjoyment but for me is not a requirement to have fun playing this game.
Its just pathetic that EA OWNS you guys and your pack buying. it shouldn't cost $1000 to have a good HUT team, and if you people think thats acceptable?? get your head checked... that's ok, keep ripping packs in chase of fake hockey cards.... EA sports loves you
Again, why do you care how much we spend? Maybe online hut isn't for you. There is solo play for hut. OR get into franchise mode. Its a lot of fun. I'M enjoying that too. Eashl is fun. Get on a team and play that way. People spend their money on what they want. I'm old with kids. It's cold out. Golf up here is winding down. Its enjoyable for me. And while I'd love packs to be cheaper, life in general is expensive. I only play hut. I don't play any other games. Relax, enjoy what you like and remember that it's just a game.
