Show me one video, just one, where a tip goes wide.
There simply are no videos of tip-ins going wide. The goalie sometimes will get lucky and save some, but every single on goes on net.
Tips do sometimes get blocked by other players. But I have never seen one go wide. Instead, they hold down the number of deflected goals by giving AI goalies superhuman abilities to save deflections that happen 10 feet in front of them.
I would just like less automation for tips basically, if you aren't trying to tip, your player shouldn't lift his stick and get a perfect tip on net just because you happen to be skating in the shot area. It leads to too many flukey goals that teams don't deserve.

Auto tips if implemented properly I could accept. Alot less frustrating than players automatically batting in rebounds even if the are chest high. Why the heck is that still automated???
Tips and deflections ALWAYS go towards the net. They never miss even though the initial shots might be going wide, tip ins and deflections ALWAYS hit the net. .

Problem is the puck didn't bank off my skate and then into the net. I saw the replay after that game and the puck hits me in the back and it was sorta heading back out, but then the goalie does that swinging arms animation and puts it right into the net.

Yup, another c rappy year of offensive-minded development. Offense is the only thing that matters.

Also, so much for the tuners helping to make them less powerful the higher the angle they are deflected at:
