With Crashing Market, Will it Bounce Back ?

Whats up guys, i would like to hear some opinions here as i am really stuck and i have no idea what i should do right now lol.....

Days before MOV came out i dropped about 325K on 5 carbons (65K each) since last set i saw them creep up as high as 85-90K... now they are going for 60K LMAO ... but i will ride it out until i can AT LEAST get my money back or if i find a set worth completing in my eyes.. I have a few players on my team that i want to sell to upgrade and get new players but base cards took quite a hit...

DUCHENE (finally back up 90K so i will sell soon)
88 PARISE (currently 20K)
87 KREIDER (currently 4K)
87 B.Ryan (currently 3K)
87 Carlsson (currently 3K)

QUESTION 1
Will the above players come back up value or should i sell them now? Wait a week, maybe two or 3?

QUESTION 2
I have roughly 100 (85&86) Rare Gold Players and 150 (Non Rare) Gold Players...
Should i sell them for 550 and 250 each (respectively) which will yield roughly 90K?
Or should i save them for maybe a new gold player trade in set?








**please answer both questions, obviously these will be opinions, but they will all be appreciated**

They're already going back up a bit but if the next set is a 91 forward then they're gonna drop big again. Carbons will go up again, if not next week then by Crosby for sure. If Crosby is 10 carbons too expect them to be 100k.

For your no value players just keep them or quicksell them.

I doubt there will be a gold player trade in set. If you want to buy something, sell them. Of you're good for a while, keep em and sell doubles and try to complete sets. I hold on to any player I get until the set is complete or I get a 2nd player. AND dont just put the common players on the market for 250. Some of then will bring in over 1k.

Carbons and golds will go back up soon, as long as next few movembers aren't as weak as donskoi. No one wants donskoi. Doughtys nice but not fer that price. Low end players are what they are. A bit of fluctuation but not much, the fluctuation is larger the better the player. But with so many sets and promos that high end player isn't worth what he used to be. Market seems harder to judge this year. But then I dont hsbe much patience.

88's and higher might creep back up a bit.

87's and below if they creep up it will only be slight, probably within 5-10%, if at all. At least as far as base cards go.

If the next set is Jamie Benn and Jimmy Hayes, you can expect Carbons to test 45k as a floor. There's just nowhere to put them except Heroes, and there's no profit in Heroes, as most would sell for a huge loss if you built to flip. There's a lot of reserves (a lot of people stocked up on carbons/golds prior to MOV) that are sitting in collections waiting for a good set so you won't see Carbon go up dramatically if it's a good set. Plus, you have more being built as pack opens are high.

Basically, you have a major demand problem for collectibles of all kinds, but especially golds and carbons, coupled with a glut of supply. You either ride it out (probably until at least mid-December if they don't do a better job with sets) or take your losses and run.

5 carbons at 65K each... not selling them until I can at least make my money back.. I have 2 more from before I bought them too...

not selling those carbons until I can at least get 75K each I don't think. I would rather wait it out

the market will raise a bit today and drop heavily tomorrow, especially base cards. Duchene, toews,etc will drop again in 60k range and will raise again but during this movmonth base cards have no value, 87s are worth 2-3 ( except kessel and some others) Carbons will raise again but this month alot of packs are being ripped so people have many items to create more carbons. I have quicksold all my 86-85 players. If u are clever u can make alot of coins grinding the market with 300-400k , my advice , focus on totw market

I think carbons will rise because people will want to complete the sets...

also, most of the "Promo Packs".. which is what MOST people are ripping, have mostly Rare Players, and not as many "items" which can be traded in for collectibles...

for the previous sets they went as high as 90K... plus smart people working the market will be stocking up on these cheap carbons while they can (including myself) and either using them for sets to sell the player at a profit, or simply selling the carbons for a profit.

you have to remember, right now we have a silly 81 Donskoi who only requires 3 carbons, and a Doughty who requires 10, so 13 total for this week... if they have a decent and an elite player this week, for say 10 carbons and 5 carbons, expect them to start rising. if not this month, for sure next month

If there's only two sets, and they're 300k+ (for a Giroux-type of player) and 600k+ (for a Benn-type of player), I can't see there being the demand for Carbon to push it up. Sure, you'll have the guys going for Crosby getting them, and a small group of people going for the lower end guy, but the other sets (other than Halloween) had approachable sets for players that many more people could reasonably complete. If this is two sets again, I can't see how the demand for Carbon pushes it up - I would see it going down, again. Unless there's a radical change to these sets, and/or other sets released during November, I don't see Carbon testing 60k until the first non-Movember set in December at earliest.

Carbons and golds will go up after black friday. Youll have a rush of new folks playing trying to complete collections. Unless there is a really good set released before that.

exactly... my team is beast right now... I can sit on 8 carbons until I can make 75K each MINIMUM... then ill be sitting on 600K to buy what I want...

As far as my good base cards go, should I sell these now? and rebuy them in a few days? I have:

Good Gawd that's a killer top 7 on a Lot of teams! I wouldn't know how to advise your situation, but I'd say bottom three maybe 4 could be sold. I see a LOT of them on the block. Moreso than the other 3-4.

Its weird to me how I can sell a Malkin MOV 92 Overall for 1M pucks yet pickup a 97OVR Heatley for 750K
It was an easy decision but the market is straight dumb sometimes
