Why would anyone pay 75k for a carbon when golds are going for under 6k?
they wouldn't lol... that's my point, right now golds can be sniped for 4800-5200....
but during the end of the last set theme, carbons were in such high demand they were going for over 80K... which is why I bought a bunch of carbons, hopefully they start creeping up by the end of the month
I see. We'll see tonight. If they release a good young popular mov for a set and a good vet you may be back in the 70k area. LIke a ghost and zetterberg or something along those lines.
yea I mean honestly I don't expect them to rise back up to the 75-80K range until the end of the month or early December... that being said... I will wait a full month if it means I can be sitting on 600-700K
Carbons tested 49k last night on XB1 - some cat dumped 12 carbons all at once for 49k and they were all bought right away. If tonight's set isn't great, you may see it blow right through 45k.
right now is the time to be buying carbons, since great packs are out and people want to buy them... after people blow through all of their packs they will jump back up

What will they be buying carbons for? Why would they need to buy them?
Its cheaper to buy the hero's off the market than it is to buy the carbons for those sets alone - either the Hero Cards go up in price on the market or the carbons come down - given the Carbons can be traded in to EA for a random quicksell up to 50K - I would say EA wants carbons priced around the 30-40K mark - IMO that's where its headed.
They should be like 20k jerseys and all that other stuff should sell at 200 coins a piece. With the quick sell it is a gamble and a bad one at that. There is no reason the golds and carbons should be as much as they are. Gold collectibles should be 2k with carbons at 20k. Look at the way the sets are set up and you have your answer.
yea they should be.... but that doesn't mean they will be...
if there aren't a lot of carbons in circulation and there is a high demand for them people will pay whatever to get them... which is why they went up to 85K last set theme
The biggest reason they were so high last set is that EA didn't release a guaranteed Halloween collectible pack - the first set where they didn't do that. So the demand for carbon to complete those sets was way way down.
There's a lot of supply of carbon sitting on the sidelines right now. The demand curve is all kinds of **** up, with no profitable place to put carbon. Unless tonight's set is a doozy, demand for carbon will continue to drop into the 40s. If there's an Ovi or Kane for 10 carbons (don't count on it), carbon will spike, but that card will be devalued since so many will be created.
