The real problem with this game

Is how much the A.I plays the game for you. All the good HUT and VS players know how to utilize their A.I

And i'm not just talking sitting back and playing "Skill Zone" I am talking switch off at the right moments and letting the A.I play Defense for them.

The game needs to go back to where games are decided by who is better with their controller skills and not by who knows how to manipulate their A.I to play half the game for them.

  • I disagree, I'm an offline player and I find teammate AI absolutely atrocious! I try to compensate far too much for their inability. Maybe it's different online but I don't trust my computer teammates one bit.

Not talking about offline.. Online players know how to utilize their A.I to play defense for them. A.I pinning you to the boards left and right. Bumping you off the puck at the right timely moments. A.I chasing you all over the ice forcing you into the player (Whom is spamming his poke)

I'm a Division 1/2 player (Not bragging just stating the level of players I play) I am Up and down between the two Divisions and this is the type of gameplay you can expect once you get up so high.

I wish the A.I did less the way the game used to play back between NHL 09-12 when it was possible to set up cycles without the CPU running at you and pinning you to the boards left and right.

And the only way for your opponent to break up your cycle was for him to take control of a player and do it himself.

Disagree all you want, you're playing a different game mode all together... keep your two cents haha this game is less about playing hockey and more so about letting the AI retrieve the puck so the scrubs can have their offensive validation moments...

Yeah that's part of the reason I gave up on online play. Not that fun. Hope you guys are enjoying the game anyway.
  • I find my AI players playing D for the other team most of the time. I go left, suddenly they feel the need to go left, I skate up the ice past the blue and red line, about to enter the offensive zone, and who decides to skate into my path for no reason other then complete idiocy ... my own player.

Then there is the wonder that is the AI D man, who apparently forgets randomly how to hit, poke check, pick up a puck.

I completely agree, the AI ruins it.

Thata what Hut is all about. You cant control everyone at the same time. Trust me the AI by itself is awful. Except when i play against them they whoop my **** players that use theirs like you say whoop my **** and my cpu's fan(i guess that would be its ****)

Lets get 6v6 hut but we will can it EASHUPA Aka another money grab mode.
  • ill also say how much i love when the AI decides to "help" the other team with bounces that defy logic and tractorbeams to haul in loose pucks when you dominate the chit out of a game for 45 mins.

pass them the puck, walk right into them with it, shoot/pass from behind the net. Follow them in a train and get penalties even though they set on trap and dont attack. Screen the goalie, push the goaie out of the net. Shoot at the goalie, pass it in the net. Skate out of the zone when the puck is going in. Shall I continue? nah
