Idea: Make a fun mode like 3 vs 3 but with eashl players

3 vs 3 half ice surface, theres a ten second shot clock, up to 7 (encourages no playing keep away), and literally gives us something fun to do since this rendition of NHL is stale already.

Doesn't require any extra resources since 3 vs 3 practice mode is practically the framework for this new mode, just add a "shotclock" and cut the ice in half. Problem solved.

I'd like it for offline as well. Or maybe a game like they had in 07 the free for all mode. Madden and FIFA have fun modes don't see why NHL can't as well.

My thoughts exactly, I think it'd be nice and give the game some life. Games like Overwatch do this all the time through free DLC.

Why not? I think it'd be fun. As long as its simple to implement. I just don't want it to become a huge project for the devs to take their attention away from working on the issues that are already in the game (skating/vision control being my primary concern).

3 on 3 mode would be fun, yes... But there is a major issue holding the game back and this is EA's stubborn refusal to reverse course, TPS and removal of classic vision control is destroying this game(quickly approaching fully destroyed status).

This is no longer in debate status, the verdict is in, the game is dying do to TPS and removal of classic vision control, EA needs to stop being stubborn and reinstate the old skating engine and classic vision control, do that, only that, and this game will come roaring back in popularity!!! We know this would be fact based on knowing how popular this game was when we had the classic skating/vision control, fix it, they will come!

Since the AI is so bad, YES!
I'd rather play 3on3 arcade, than 3on3 EASHL with 4 computer Dmen skating into their own net.

I'm actually kinda surprised, that people would like this idea. I would rather put everything on the 6 on 6 gameplay and real-time presentation.

Then online franchise or at least season.
Then Be a pro.
Then classic teams/ classic seasons
Then sound design overhauling

Then when it's all absolute perfect and fantastic I would maybe think about something like.. well, as I think about it I would probably rather just throw these money from the window than use it for this haha.

You don't need a new mode. If you got 3 in eashl then that's all the players you get.

Then it should match you with 3 other humans. Get rid of AI in eashl.

Make a EASHL option for max 3 players per team, with OT rules.

As much as I think AI should be completely gone in eashl, if it ever went that way I think it would have to be 4 players minimum on a team. I don't see ea ever dropping the ai though

Yeah I've been advocating 4 or more for club since it came out. You should be required to have more humans than AI to play eashl. 2 is a couple, not a club.

Ya then you will get too many players who only care about points wanting to just play 3v3 and rack up points on leaderboards. Guaranteed if that were to happen there would be more 3s teams than anything else in the game

Ya the same people ruining the franchise
