Boy did the gift of giving ever mess up the market for the common gold players.

Was looking to do the Boston set and some of the players are going for 5k. Hopefully the market will. Correct itself soon.

One can argue that perhaps that was the point of the sets....

To CLEANSE the market. Maybe makes one think "Gee... A lot of people turned in their gold cards, so now there are less, and that has resulted in spiking prices....coin is tough to come by, so lemme spend some $ and buy packs."

Boston is expensive in general. And on top of that when people buy more packs with Rares there are less common players to be pulled. I'd wait on it. It will get a little cheaper once the outdoor set is over. Who do you need? I may have them. My Boston set is complete

No if you already have Bergeron and Rask .

That's what I'm going to do. Picked up a bung of Rares when the marked crashed this weekend. I may be able to complete the set while only spending 20k.

I need basically all but 3 or 4 non Rares.

95% of the non rares turned in were likely from starter hut accounts. I can't see many people turning in 10 tradeable non rares for 2 tradeable 85's and 86's. Especially the easy to do teams like Boston, NYR, Ottawa...

I think the limited supply is more a function of these sets being easy so supply is disappearing. And then there's the price lockers...

I have 11teams left to go. Thankfully I have most common players needed. Used all my collectable cards to finish some sets before they went up to 8k.

If you think you have problems, my "buy now" option keeps throwing data retrieve errors, this has severely prohibited my ability to buy gold cards for gold collectibles. Had countless opportunities to get cards for under 300 coins, was forced to bid on them, only to have someone buy it now. Very frustrating, and yet another broken feature not fixed on this god awful game. smh
