99 overall cam Neely?

So I was playing some games last night. And was murdered by this guy on ps4 with the PSN captainfalcon21.

I look at his team after the game and he has a Cam Neely that is purple with a rating of 99 overall....****? Where did this card come from?

That's what the Zach Fischer 99 overall looked like I played against yesterday on Xbox. He is a chl player and gets a 99

Could be just a mistake. Did you take a picture? EA does send chl players 99 cards. But I have never heard of a current or legend getting one.

You played against Cam Neely ! I played against a guy that had a 99 card too, Shawn Boudrias. The kid was pretty good, he scored in OT with his own card

I checked it out, no mistake. 100% a 99 OVR Cam Neely. Looks like a purple POTG Card, every category juiced to 99. Issued on Sept 23. Dude has played almost 700 games with it. Sweet card, no idea why it exists and why I can't have one.

The guy you played is Cam Neely's nephew. Neely requested that EA do his 99 card for him.

Any player who has a card in the game -- including NHL players and legends -- can get a 99 version of their card. Domi and Duclair, for instance, both have 99 cards

That's pretty epic but at the same time frustrating....So does that equate to there being a 99 card for every single player in the game?

No don't think so. There are a lot of junior players who have them. This is the 1st time I've seen a NHL player have one. And I would imagine current players don't have the time to play much. Neely probably told them he'd like one for his nephew as they use his likeness in the game.

Domi and Duclair both have 99 cards, and I think they have their own accounts.
