It's no surprise, 2k hockey was always ahead of ea, and in ways still is... Look at what comes out of 2k studios , Mafia 3 for example they actually paid to license over 100 songs to make the game feel more authentic, ea won't even pay to put 6 decent songs on their menu music ... Meanwhile you start up Mafia 3 to listen to Hendrix and all along the Watchtower and gets you right into the game ...

NBA is straight killing it with the gamplay AND presentation/depth meanwhile EA has failed terribly at both. Unreal.

NBA has sliders to adjust everything. Want draft pools to have better players? They have a slider for that. Want teams to focus more short term in their trading? They have a slider for that.

I can't watch that without getting depressed about NHL franchise mode, which has always been my favorite mode. So much untapped opportunity. It's why I pretty much only play Madden franchise now.
