EASHL is boring because of the class system?
It was a lazy change, but I dont see how it makes the game boring just because you cant stack important stats and ignore meaningless ones.
another person not realizing that it's not the user's fault the system was flawed.
so the developer solves the problem by just getting rid of the system entirely instead of taking the time / cycles and $ to fix it.
if the stats "meant" something, then you would admit that would have / could have solved the problem?
why people cheer laziness as a fix is beyond me.
oh wells.
Nice strawman.
He's not cheering the fix. He's saying that's not the reason the game mode is boring. The gamemode is boring because the gameplay and control of your player is terrible. Teams are more successful shooting turds alll game long than trying to setup actual plays.
appreciate your opinion on my opinion on why the game mode is boring.
Appreciate you improving your reading comprehension skills.
Appreciate your concern aboot my reading skills.
and it's not my fault you get beat by teams flinging turds on net and you have trouble skating.
NO mentions of CAPTAINS, or ASSISTANCES in this years EASHL Too much focus on the 3 on 3 stuff IMO
You'd seriously rather have meaningless Cs and As on jerseys than a new game mode? I don't agree with a lot of the direction EA has taken, but this makes no sense to me. Seems like it should be a simple, realistic, addition, I agree, but hardly something that matters in the scheme of things.

oh wells.
I have no expectations of EA solving underlying issues that have been around for years. Its best to minimize the areas that will be exploited (like putting all skill points into Wrist shot and ignoring Slap shot).
I know you've been playing NHL for years, so you've probably been in a GM Connected league. As you know, a mid 70s overall guy with huge speed (eg. Mason Raymond) was pure gold. Stat imbalance is not an EASHL issue, its an EA issue. Making all players on the EASHL ice the same speed was the best thing EA has done for the Teamplay aspect of EASHL; and thats what we play EASHL for, isnt it? The Teamplay?
The ideal system with no regard for budget, time, or developer talent would be customization w/o the grind.
EA's FIFA Pro Clubs has Customization w/ the grind. Everyone goes for short guys with max speed. This is a higher budget game, and they still can't balance the stats out.
Competitive online games with progression/customization always end up falling into meta builds. Is Skinny-build, Medium-build, Fat-build a lazy decision? Yes, I'd never argue anything otherwise. But its also the safest decision to keep Teamplay at the forefront, instead of individual play.

I too played in a GM Connected League and played with the Islanders. Can confirm that Michael Grabner was the best player on my team and scoring 40 goals a year.
i dont get why some people think majority of the player base wants the old grind system back. i would think its the opposite. everyone i know think its better the way its now. plus this new system is more friendly for casual. witch make up most of the player base.
Casuals play it very little, then hop to another game and shelve this one. Hence why they are casuals...I have a hard time believing they make up the player base...your statement is true for the first two weeks to a month the game is released
Everyone I play with or against hates the class system, Lion knows why I personally want it back and respects that...EASHL is just plain boring now.
to me eashl is not boring. its about the team. not about the individuals. its not about your own personal grind. you have to play as a team. i agree that drop ins are boring. but maybe its just because people dont play it as a team. everyone just does as they plaese. sure eashl need loads of fixes but still its not boring when you have good team and you play well together

Yeah, I'm guessing blick would beat you by 10 if you played him. Don't get mad at blick because you're bad at the game and can't read well.
You'd know exactly what he's referencing if you had any experience playing 6s against people that aren't as bad at the game as you.
Sorry bud.
cool. my response got deleted or glitched.
yes, stud... everyone stinks except you and your bff's and that, in life, in the end is all that matters.
I don't need thundernerds who live vicariously through EA NHL video games telling me ( and I assume others here ) why I may or may not feel a game mode is bland.
I am sure he / she / xe is the best dangle sniping celly'er out there.

3vs3 Really what a Waste. Supposedly new dekes Haha

So you add the ability to play EASHL 3vs3 if you don't want to play against another 3 humans and 2 cpu. So is this supposed to be a simulation or a arcade game? Pick one and make it good you can't be both. So now we are going to divide the EASHL community even more. You marketing the fact this game will have more online modes then any other sports game you make yet this series has the least amount of sales then any other game you make. Way to go EA. Who did you even poll to add this mode?
New one handed dekes? Who ate you trying to fool ? This game had one handed dekes on last gen for 5 years until you added the noob dekes with L1 . Backhand toe drags was in the game 7 years ago stop claiming it's all new. Aim your poke check and sweep it back and forth was in the game last gen as well. I'm glad your adding this back in but it should have never been taken out in the first place. So you better have fixed the fact when you deke you don't slow down to a crawl if you can string dekes together.
So what's it going to be Class Builds or Progressive Attributes? If it's class builds like you have now with horrible puck handling ability these dekes will be useless. I sure am glad I can create my own mascot what a waste of development time on your part who asked for that 15 people? Expansion mode not even a new feature it's been in games for years. I could create a team in NHL for as long as I can remember . Unless progressive attributes are back I am not wasting my 60 bucks for NHL 17 2.0 .
You ever think the old system isn't back because it was indeed not balanced and they still haven't figured out how to balance it quite right yet? I'd go on the path of allowing both pre-set build and a custom build. But I'd have so many attribute penalties if you went above a pre-build that it wouldn't be viable for that extra 2-3 speed but costing you probably 3 in balance, 3 in strength, 3 in accel.

They changed the bolded part where height doesn't affect speed much anymore so they want people around the 6ft or higher mark now. But FIFA is a broken game with it's small players being able to win headers over tall people. People have asked for the changes too and they simply just pump out the same thing each year and people still play it.
it just isn't that complicated - you institute a floating cap for certain stats or abilities as your height and weight move up or down.
then only put in the stats that actually mean something. or god forbid just fix the stats that mean nothing.
but hey, it's just easier to chuck the whole concept out, institute pre-set builds and go back to the lead of the project and say, "hey boss! we fix-ed it!"
this game sucks anyways, you have morons making it, who have no motivation because there is no competition any more, it caters to stupid kids and that dumb HUT, which i will NEVER PAY for, this game is old and boring, not buying NHL 18, this series is going downhill FAST
