The community is pathetic

It seems like it's impossible for people to be a good sport about losing or winning now. Was playing some competitive seasons tonight and only lost one of my 5 games. If the game was close I'll send them a message saying good game bud.

Boy did I ever get some hate. Even the guy who beat me by one goal (happens to be in the top 10 on PS4) replied saying ice tilt was why the game was so close and contined to send hate my way.

It's so sad what has become of this community and online gaming in general. While I understand winning is fun, so is playing the game (as long as your opponent plays an honest game).

I played a guy yesterday who played every single replay.... literally

listen, if its a really cool/good goal and they want to watch replay 1 of 2, that's fine... but this guy was replaying offsides, penalties, everything you can imagine. Extremely rude and annoying

Don't send people messages, hoping to get something nice back. You're just asking for it.
As far as communities go, this one is far more mature than most of the other online gaming communities.

Most of my interactions have been civil I only really message guys that I know or if I play an intense game.. There are many types of people in every community if you play a someone and they are doing dou'che stuff in game don't be surprised if when you message them they are in fact a dou'che.

I wouldnt generalize too much and think that anonymosity ( did i write this correctly lol) brings the worst out of people. After a long time i decided to allow back after game mssgs..just for fun

These are the ones that really get to you. I don't even try to message them. But a good close game I will send a gg message. Usually with a friendly response.
Mind you I might go to the other extreme of sportsmanlike play. When on an icing or whistle I vear away from their player. I guess mom is still in the back of my mind screaming about sportsmanship.....lol

What do people expect when you have an entire generation who have constantly been told they are great, they are the best, that they are special.

Then they play an online video game, and all of a sudden they aren't the best, they aren't great, they aren't special.

And it becomes impossible for them to take. They can't handle it.

Then combine that with an anonymous platform like PS4 or Xbox messaging where there is zero accountability, and no consequences really for what you say.

And this is what you get.

Not saying it's right by any means, but it's a symptom of many factors.

Replays have been a complaint of mine fer years. Offline do what you want. Online, they should be cutting down on the time spent in game( replays, disallowed goals, commentary highlights, etc ). It can allready take 2-10 minutes to find a game, game should be 20 mins withoot any messing around. Can take 30 mins with all the garbage slowing it down.
