Unfortunately he is often injured, so last year his MOV ends with an 94 overall and this year it will be most likely not more than 92 overall. However, despite the limited number of upgrades he is still one of the very best right handed winger options in the game.
Don you think he's better then heros like Shanahan linden and Sullivan?
agreed... last year he was capped at 93 though, I had his MOV also...
I have his 91 this year and he is an absolute stud
Not this year...
I keep hoping Jeff Carter gets a good upgrade , he always just misses a toty card . He is a good card, and as a Canadian, he is one of our best players, when he is playing with the best, he shines , look at how him and doughty shut down Crosby and ovie .
I never used Shanahan this season but Sullivan is on my second line (with POTN Richards and MOV McDavid), while Stamkos is on my first line (with 99 Datsyuk and MOV Backstrom).
Overlall Stamkos and Sullivan are almost on the same level with a similar skill set but Stamkos is just a bit better. Both are very fast and top break away guys. However, whenever you need you can create chances with both players in every situation as well. Sullivan is slightly more agile, Stamkos is more dynamic. Shooting accuracy is on a high level with both players but Stamkos bombs harder.
You need to check the stats in details. Despite the higher overall rating for Sullivan (94 Sulli vs. 92 Stammer) on the card, both have almost an identical average with the real stats (without fighting skill Stamkos is even slightly better).
Stamkos only weakness is his poor phisicality (like in real hochey). You always should avoid contact with other players. Sullivan looks a bit more steady on the leags than Stammer. Stammer is not like Gaudrau but very shaky for a player of his size.
Despite this one weakness I have learned to use his skill set to my advantage over the years and he absolutely suits to my indivdual type of game play.
