CS First Time

So this is my first time doing CS and i have made it to rank 130, my question is, would it be better to sit on this rank or try to get a better rank. Losing puts your rank down quite a bit so Im not sure on what to do . Thoughts?

Stay at 130. Look at the rewards. If you lose you probably drop out of top 500

alright sounds good, im looking at the rewards and they are actually nice. cant beleive the guy at the top has only lost once

i F'd up got greedy and played again to try and increase my rank... needless to say I am now rank 602

Afro is good, he beat my **** 3-0 earlier today in reg season. I assume he's div 1 since his game history only shows 2 OTL's and a possible rage quit. But I think he's lucky to have finished around 600th. I think I slid around 5000 spots just by going to bed one night, lol. After that ****, it was back to regular seasons for me. Right after the beating Afro gave me, I advanced to div 2. Now trying to win enough to pop my div 1 cherry, but it's not going well. So right now it's "**** this game" but later it will be "I think I have time for one more".

you give me to much credit , lol it was probably a closer a game then the score would suggest. Ya I have atleast 1 rage quit in my history haha one of those games that I couldnt believe the shots that where going in. But i swear CS is such a crazy game mode im always nervous to play when im in the higher ranks that i get to in my head and blow like 3 games in a row

What are the rankings based on? I have the same record as the people above and below me...Also "ice tilt" is horrible in this mode, I get the want to make the games competitive but this morning I played two games and I was hands down a better player both with skill and roster, I held my opponent to 4 shots for the first two periods with 23 shots myself but only 3 goals, his next 4 shots went in three from the point, and two of them went off/through TOTY 96 Rask. I really like building my own team and grinding it out to get the players I want, but does it really matter if you have the best rask available? when EA is going to do stuff like this...I lost 4-3 Those were the only shots I gave up the entire period, 8 shots 4 goals, I finished with 32 shots and 3 goals, which I get can happen hot goalie, but c'mon how is this ok to do...

The points you win/lose depends on the ranking of your opponent. So two guys with 5-0-0 records won't have the same amount of points. The one that played against better ranked players will have more points

So they are most likely those glitchers that get those lag wins or whatever? thats pretty ****

Ya this mode is definitely a broken one, the most inconsistent mode I have played yet. But I found the trick to having better games is to not play alot in a row and only play when most kids are sleeping so the servers arent so busy, so like 3 am or early in the morning at like 7 or 8 am

Except for the 1st round of this season I have had no issues with CS yet. Skipped the 1st season but I got top 100 in the other 3 seasons.
