It's a travesty!
I'm utterly aghast. The beta and the EA access pre-release had some of the best hockey we'd ever played online. Finally a reasonable speed, players feeling like they are digging their skates into the ice, methodical gameplay with loose pucks, neutral zone skirmishes, battles and turnovers all over the ice.
What happened? Now it's completely gone back to players floating all over at high speed, and race up the ice - race down the ice gameplay. For gosh sakes stick to your guns you really took a step forward and the second you get some complaints from the usual crowd you completely throw it under the bus. So disappointed. Give us back our hockey sim.

I do agree that aside from bug/glitch fixes the tuners seem to generally point the game in the wrong direction. I'm not sure if it's because they are bending to the consensus of the online feedback to give the masses (arcade-style" players) what they want, or if they actually think they are making it better and more realistic but are in fact inadvertently making the game worse thinking it's improving. I'd hate to think it's the latter.
Also not sure why it has to be one or the other either. Why just one getting for the entire league? Why don't they make more "sim" oriented branch of the league for those of us that prefer that? There's obviously a demand for a more sim like experience or the topic wouldn't be brought up year after year.
Who knows?
Perhaps it's subjective and we just don't agree with EA as to what a game closer to actual hockey really is?
Apparently rammer has said sticklift is working as intended.
Come again. Thought he said he was aware of the issue.
I agree with Hyon Nyquil that it's a little mind-boggling that that don't just have a faster speed and slower speed for the gameplay as a choice online to once and for all please both camps, or something along those lines. They can tinker with the details all they want in tuners, but messing with the fatigue/speed settings throws the whole thing out of whack.
But the stick lift worked in the beta, no? I'd say that's a pretty big change.
And that's not what these guys are talking about now is it bud?
Most you guys are "it!"
You can't be this stupid -- though I know you try. There was a gameplay update we downloaded before play began. Stick lift worked in the beta, does not work in the new version. So yes, the game literally has changed.
He is. Yeah I dont know why they always feel the need to do this.

Show me the clips from the beta ? Let's see the evidence ?
This guy clearly works for ea. Having played the beta and early access I have definitely felt a change in eashl. I mostly play 2s,3s or 4s. In the beta you could get a good cycle goin then fire it to the cpu d man and he would fire a shot. Now they just look to pass it off just like in 16. That's just one of the things I've noticed. Oh and stick lift of course.
