Anyone else on Telus ISP?

I think I can blame my ISP (TELUS) being the culprit of the issues I have been having over the last few years in NHL. I can't seem to get my Strategies to work when it comes to gameplay... no matter what I change. my Poke check does nothing, my body check is all messed up, If I just get nudged I loose the puck, my Ai does nothing except stand there. etc etc

  • I have Telus fibre and gameplay is so messed up I just don't play any games anymore. It could be the power in my house causing the console/monitor/modem/router to run bad and die early.
  • Take this test and tell me the results: http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest
  • I also have Telus, had my own conspiracy theories... I know before when I would play over at my girlfriends(Shaw), COD or NHL, things were different. NHL, you would still have all those puck ragging one sided games, but check were being made, pucks were hit during poke checks...

I've had Telus for 7 years now... trying to figure out why theyre 15 seconds plus behind from shaw. I'll be watching a hockey game in the playoffs and hear a shout next door or across the street and wonder whats going on, just to find the puck in the back of the next 15 sec later.
  • Telus is complete garbage!
  • As you can see............

Those speeds should be more than enough. Although my interwebs fluctuates from 10 upload to great but 10 is the bottom and then max 100 mb download. Thanks time Warner for not being Google fiber... If I only lived one street over...

Wait one of those says DSL what in the world?! Is this 2004??

It's the Quality and Bufferbloat that means the most.
  • I'm on TELUS and rarely experience lag. I think it's silly to blame the ISP although it could be the gateway/modem that is the problem but that's not built by the ISP.

Do you guys check Xbox NAT settings before playing online? I myself think it's an Xbox problem.

My PS4 is in the DMZ. All ports open. Does anyone here use a power bar? I read you arent supposed to because it will mess your machine up permanently.
  • I've been using a surge protector for as long as I can remember with no issues.

    What's your record in HUT?
  • I haven't played much, online 14-7 or something.
  • You probably have a really strong team and are being equalized by EA. They do that and then put the blame on your connection.
  • http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest <--- Try this and post your result. The more info we have to work with the easier we can find the problem.
