Play by Play names
How do I set a null play by play name?
My name isnt in the game in any form, so its really weird being forced to go by something like "Kovalchuk" or "Orlov"
This has never been a problem before, why is it a problem now?

you can't, and it's infuriating. i'm in the same boat.
Use the name 'Punnenovs'. Players I've created who don't have their last name available I've given them this name. It never gets announced during a game and I've given it to a lot of created players that are on the ice at the same time.
Unfortunatly not. I tested it out by giving it to a bad goalie and scoring on him tonnes. Ray Ferraro says his name during a highlight
Really? Gee mate that suxs and something I haven't seen yet. Unless it's because he's a goalie. The skaters I've given the name to I've not once heard Doc, Ed or Ray call or mention their name. And this is after a few games played. I've created a whole team of created players (skaters mainly), most players using that name and when the game is being called the commentary is only describing what's going on and not who the individual is doing it.
I cant believe EA hasnt commented on this yet
@Ozhockeyfan I'm curious how you discovered this?
I became aware of that particular name when this subject came up when 16 came out. Someone made comment (it might have been on here maybe, can't remember) that when the name your looking for isn't available use Punnenovs.
And Animal1138 is right. The only time the name is said is during that highlight thingy Ray does. Doc doesn't say it at all during the play by play.
