So I played Vs and it all makes sense.....
Played some VS games tonight and it was smooth as silk. No lag, no unexplainable missed passes, no defensive mishaps, etc... I'm not a conspiracy theorist, nor do I endorse excuse generation but I will say I feel slighted in HUT with the many many miscues and as some say "syrup" play. Is it a way to "level the playing field" to incite pack purchases because you never are satisfied with your team?? Maybe. I'll never know but I can tell you, from a veteran player of this series, one mode shouldn't feel so different, as it does, from the other. Sad. That's all. Sad.

HUT being the worst.

On a side note, packs are deceptive too. When it says 2 "rare" players, this just isn't true. What does rare even mean?!? To me it should mean players that are scarce on the market. Carl Hagelin is not rare. Again deception at its best. Unfortunately, I love hockey and I like gaming so I am stuck with the EA monopoly. Just figured others share in my opinion.
Honestly I think you nailed it.
Look, I've been playing HUT now since the inception. I'm not a great player, try to play "realistic hockey", and can usually win 2 out of 3 mostly because I'm half decent defensively. I don't spend money, play the market a little bit selling the same five-six 86s players over and over. Have a half decent team, no Heroes yet though.
You know right off the bat when your in for a tough game. I just played a guy who had a little bit better team than mine, but not by much. I knew right away I was in tough, my entire team was just sluggish, unresponsive. Even my fast skaters were slow. It was tight until the end, no thanks to my slugs, when his Gaborik while pinned in the corner up against two of my defenders, just walks out of the corner and scores. A few seconds later, the puck bounces around the offensive zone, right onto his players stick, and a quick wrister later it's in the back of the net. None of this has to do with Connection quality.
They simply want the randomness at in HUT so your never satisfied with your team. That's it, never being satisfied = users buying more packs. It's that simple. There is no other explanation for the way HUT feels and plays vs. non purchase modes like Online Vs., Draft Champions, and EASHL. Call it ice tilt, call it whatever you want, we're suckers playing this mode, as we'll never, ever see a consistent online experience in HUT, because if it was, most half-decent players could win just as easily with a team of 86-87s as we could with a team Heroes. That doesn't make EA money.
Go play Online Vs., pick the worst NHL team, and if your the better player, you'll roast guys who pick Pittsburgh or Chicago, even the All-stars teams, 9 times out of 10. The experience is consistent. Not in HUT. Not now, not ever.
Every game we are subconsciously told that our team isn't good enough so we potentially pay for upgrades.
just want to clarify....
