Halloween special players

How is it supposed to make sense?

93 Lindros/Modano: 1 carbons, 2 golds, 7 FO: 75k, 15k, 35k = 125k
93 Roy/Booth: 3 carbons, 5 Halloween: 225k, 200k = 425k

So 300k more for a supposedly similar player.

  • They're still testing the effects of their sets on the market prices. When they release a guaranteed hallow collectible pack we will see. But yeah a little overpriced anyways this set.
  • Patients it just came out. I will be snagging that bryzgalov though

Unless EA figures out a way to drastically reduce the price of carbons, waiting isn't going to do anything to lower the price of these Halloween cards.

  • I'll guarantee they didn't expect golds and carbons to be this expensive. I think they probably thought it would be half. Like 2.5-3.5 for a gold and 25k-35k for a carbon

They're fixed prices. So they knew how much they'd be.

Each gold is comprised of 10x550 cards=5500 pucks. Carbons 5500 goldsx10=55000
  • Where do you get a fixed price of 550?
  • To reduce carbon price, they must do "cheap" packs with only jersey arena and coachs

Lol, why not just give us packs as we win tournaments or division titles ...

Why not make a game that is more popular ? Supply and demand sets prices ...

How many people are holding onto them for movember ?

That's the quick sell price of 500. So they have to be sold for 550 or more in the market.
  • Isn't a jersey quick sell under 200?
  • I think somehow carbons were set by the market to be priced at 75000ish and everything else has fallen into suit, so it's the other way around.
And just so everyone remembers, EA doesn't set the market nor do they set prices of sets according to the market.
There are actually two markets. the top 10-15% deal with the high end cards and then there is the rest of the community.
It wouldn't surprise me if HUT is like the world economy and 15% of all users own 85% of the coins.
How do you become one of the top 15%?
You either spend a lot of money, you play the market for hours a day, or you got really lucky once with packs.
  • ^ You are right

That being said Carbons should be cheaper, so I totally agree they should do a cheap pack containing jersey, logos, stadium and coaches only. Let's say 10k pucks for 25 items, so logical price of a carbon would become 40k. It would unlock heroes sets possibilities of a ton of players and create a much needed demands on players.
