Stop complaining about how bad the game is

Prev134
Even though there are things that need to be fixed with this game, complaining about it isn't going to do anything. If you want something changed, be part of the solution, not the problem. You have to remember that there are people spending countless hours making this game the best it can be. Just because you aren't always the one winning, doesn't mean the game is broken. The staff making this game doesn't nearly had the manpower or budget as say FIFA or Madden. So next time you want to give your 2 cents, think about it. If you were Rammer, hope would you feel if all people did was complain?

My opinion? This is their best game yet

  • Plus, hockey game are probably the complex to make because is a dynamic speed game. Football, soccer, basketball are probably easier for devs ... I presume

I'm not only speaking for me here, but there are plenty of people that hardly ever lose that are complaining about the way the game is this year. It's always easier to complain when you can't win, but when somebody is barely EVER losing and complains about the game then maybe there is something to that.
  • I totally agree with you sympathetic rant towards the Devs. However if you're going to put out a half-a-s-s product than charge me appropriately. If I'm paying the same price as FIFA or Madden as a consumer I have the right to ****, complain and do what I want as a PAYING customer. So if you want me to stop complaining about all the broken features, charge me accordingly. If I bought a product, I have the right to return it for a full refund. If I buy a car from a dealer and something is wrong, the dealer will fix it at their expense. When you buy these games, you can't return it for a refund. This is ****

With the flaws that this game carries, the graphics, presentation, and game modes will make you forget about the negtives. I personally love this game. I plan on pulling another all nighter with this game. All I want is more frequent roster updates. But I doubt it.

    Back to NHL 17!

    Can't wait until NHL 18!!
  • Your just jealous that I'm enjoying this game

I don't even understand what this means. Posts on this forum that have documented problems with video have led to a lot of things being fixed in the past, so it's completely wrong to say that complaining doesn't do anything. And how else are users supposed to be "part of the solution," if not by complaining about things that are wrong with the game?
  • Well the things you guys have to remember, is that these EASPORTS games (especially NHL) haven't gotten seriously competitive until recently, so what i mean is that i feel that the purpose of this game isn't to be the best and be competitive, its a game where you and your buddies can hop on and just have fun playing a game. It's hard for people to see the positives of this game when most people all they do is complain

It means that most people that sit here on the forums and just yap yap yap about this and that don't actually contact EA themselves in anyway. I had a problem with something one so i DM'd EANHL on twitter and they responded and helped me out. I would say just don't be aggressive about it or else they won't want to do it

Of course it's suppose to be fun but the majority of us are complaining about the things that doesn't make the game fun. A huge part of that is that a lot of us are competitive and want to be better than others at the game and win. It **** losing games when you're clearly better and have out played the other team. It also **** when you win when you know the other team was better and should've won. I've stated several times yes these things happen in real life but in this game it happens way too much. That doesn't make the game fun in my opinion.

If all we wanted to do was just have fun then why even have scores, badges etc. Why not just give participation ribbons to everyone? (rolleyes)

I do appreciate the positives of the game but the negatives (the actual gameplay which is what really matters and why most play the game) far outweigh those negatives.

Maybe the game just isn't fun to you anymore. If your not having fun winning or losing I dont know why you continue to play it. The game is what it is in its current state, I agree things could be better, but a majority of complaints that i have been seeing are being made out of anger and frustration usually generated by a loss they dont feel they deserve..

You need to have fun playing the game regardless of the outcome.

If you find yourself getting frustrated, something I find works for me is to just simplify your game. Understand what is happening, its much harder to do in Hut as you are always in control when you have the puck. This is the worse mentality to have going into EASHL. I'm content as a skater in EASHL to not have the puck most of the time, but when I do I make sure we get something out of it.
A good mindset to have in regards to puck possession, is to know what your going to do if you get the puck at any given moment. You generally dont want the puck on your stick for more then 3 seconds.
  • Looks like a full on family brawl here.

Same opinion, he might feel like that No Man Sky guy. With no reason to, this game is great. With minror flaws that can be unpredictable and often overcome.

  • EA should be thrilled people are complaining. It means they still care. This game is dying. The forums used to be way more active. The online population of this game is dwindling compared to what they used to pull in.

Once people stop caring, they stop buying.
  • How would I feel if I was Rammer? Easy. Lucky to still have a job.

I'm sorry -- you just don't have any idea what you're talking about. The devs read these forums. Last year, the guy in charge of gameplay spent a lot of time talking with us about the game. He disagreed with most of the criticisms, to be sure, but he was clearly taking them in. And there are concrete things in the game that have been patched/tuned differently because of posts in these forums.
