HUT opponents from way higher divisions
Hi guys,
I earlier managed to get to division 2 and then the "tilted ice" and a couple of boys nights caused my team to drop all the way to the 8th division. Now I'm climbing back up, on the div5 right now. The problem is that several times I have been facing opponents who are in 2nd division. I asked some of the better guys I've been playing against that which division are they in and seems that many of them were in fact on 2nd division despite that I've been somewhere between 8th and 5th. Now is this fair? In my opinion far from it.
So the question is: Why I'm not facing opponents who are playing on the same division than I am, or even close to the division that I am? +/- 1 division, maybe some times even 2 would be acceptable and undestandable if there aren't ebough players online but facing opponents from 2nd div when I'm at 8th seems like a major bug to me.

I usually now bounce around from div 4-2 but can go down to 5 but never into div 1, why would I want to play there, the gameplay is horrible when matching up with those guys.
Currently in Div 3 which I hope to be relegated soon as more often than not with my ranking being around 5000 3 times yesterday I matched up with 2 x top 100 players and 1 x top 25.
I wasn't on a win streak and the games were so much of a blowout and the styles were horrible and un-enjoyable I just quit, there was no point playing.
Why for some players is it more often to match up with players so high but you never seem to get the bounce the other way ?
To me, Div 1 & 2 should be lockouts, you only play oponents of that level when you are in those divisions.
Playing div 1 & 2 whilst in Div 5 or 6 which I have had happen to me many times is just plain wrong and pointless as all players have different skill levels but this isn't helped like in Fifa were you get ridiculous statements from players like
"I consider myself an average player because I am div 1 but have never won the title" - No you are top.
Some of the problems is that on here it's the hardcore players who are some of the best, just like some of the youtubers and because they are only ranked in the top 2000 for example that is well above my skill set to get a decent game, so why does ea rank me to play those guys ?
Up until recently I was being matched with a lot of UK players, haven't played any in a month.....
This. It isn't fun for either player. Competitive close games are the only reason I still play this game. Its for fun. Blowing a guy away or being blown away isnt fun for anyone.
It can only be done intentionally.
I beat a guy 6-0 last night and intentionally didnt get a shot on goal in the third. Then, because his team wasn't good, gave him Backstrom, Oshie, Ekblad and Seabrook plus 20k. He asked if I was a youtuber. Lol
So want to play a game tonight.....lol
Nope, as said a couple of boys night with beers and snacks dropped me like 2-3 divs max, but already before that something weird happened and my team started sucking (= I started sucking? IDK) and I dropped from 2nd to somewhere around 5th. Suddenly my players were slow and puck handling was poor, lots of passes were missed and all the shots from one timers went wide or were magically saved by some average goalies.
Nothing was done intentionally to drop divisions.
