100 Years...

In honor of the NHLs 100 year anniversary Id like to see them extend the maximum length in franchise mode from 25 years to 100 years in NHL19 25 years just isnt long enough especially for people who like simming franchises its barely long enough to track your first few years of draftees and watch them retire id love to be able to build a historic franchise over a century and have the addition of a record book feature that keeps stats over the whole time unlike now where it only tracks cups an awards for 5 seasons being able to track all your cups and awards and stats of all players youve drafted and who have played for your franchise over the course of the years to be able to track and break historic stat records for goals assists points shutouts ect. And have players get inducted into the HHOF it would all add so much more depth to the mode id also like to be able to hire coaches and assistant coaches and see the addition of the jack adams award

Changes to scouting would be good too id like to see it be kind of like The Shows scouting where you send you scout to discover players at a specific position with specific traitsin a specific region like you pick infielders with fielding and speed or outfielders with power and arm strength but fof NHL like if you want a good shutdown defender with a right handed shot and high checking skills or a defensive minded center with high defensive awareness and good face off skills and then after discovering you assign your scouts to prepare a scouting report on individual players you want to target

Thanks for making this thread. I’m gonna go a little off topic here but I play season mode a lot and I can’t understand why we only get to play 1 season in NHL 18.

EA, for NHL 19 can you please give us an option to play at least 5 seasons in season mode? That would be so awesome! I don’t like playing franchise mode because nothing ever stays the same. I want everything to be the same for 5 years or more.

Also with a longer franchise mode youd be able to experience the different stages of running a team more than once or twice starting as a struggling franchise and rebuilding through the draft into a dynasty seeing your core guys retire as you begin the struggle again to rebuild 25 years just isnt long enough to capture the ups and downs of a frachise propetly or to try to build a perennial contender restocking through trades an free agency for long periods before rebuilding

Wouldnt just playing 5 1 year seasons basically just be the same thing if nothing changes i mean season mode is as advertised a season at a time but franchise is limited to 25 years theres 2 100 year old franchises multiple 50+ year old franchises the argument used to be its BeAGM mode it wouldnt be realistic to GM a team for more than 25 years well now its franchise let us build a realistic centennial franchise

The reason why I’m asking for 5 seasons or more is because so I can track my players stats from year to year. And I love season mode because everything stays the exact same. The only thing that will change is the age of the players and maybe even there overall.

Back to NHL 18

Well you could just play franchise turn owner mode and cpu trades off dont make any trades yourself and things pretty much stay the same for the most part and you get player development and can track stats over the seasons
