New to NHL EA have some ?'s
In online vs do the team stats matter or are the teams treated as equal for an online vs match?
For the training camp does it ever move on to a more intermediate or advanced training? Id like to learn more about face offs then their basic tutorial. I get a lot of toss ups or lower skill. I seem to loose a lot of faceoffs.
When I'm skating full speed and attempt a slapshot more then half the time my player misses the puck all together, why?
Should I be using x and b to shoot or should I be focusing on gettin used to the right thumb stick?
Sometimes the goalie doesn't pass the puck when I want him to and freezes it. Why?
Any other tips u guys have for me?

Some of the goalie save animations force a freeze and you can't pass it out no matter what. Also sometimes if you wait too long to pass it out you can get the same effect.
Team stats matter, but usually the more skilled player wins regardless of the teams chosen. A great player playing as the Coyotes can beat a bad player playing as the Penguins.

Make sure the on-ice trainer is activated. It is very useful for faceoffs.

Things like shooting and dekeing should be done at a glide. Many players make the mistake of thinking they should be playing at one speed or max speed the entire game with their players and that is not the case.

Use the default controls. Some of the more advanced options aren't even available on the classic scheme.

There are a handful of automatic freeze animations where the goalie covers the puck even if you want him to pass it out.
