Just played MarioKart online with my kid. 8 players, the race was super fast, clean and crisp. Never see lag on here! I can only dream if we had this on NHL online.

yeah I dunno. although I am not a big fan of apples to apples (meaning - it's not apples to apples) w/ comparing this game to rocket car game or a mario kart experience online, last gen wasn't this clunky.... so eh, something's gotta give in the long run.

and let me just go ahead and throw this out here - every. single. EA. game. feels. like. this. to. me. just... clunky. like you are just stringing together combos of animation sequences. i'm sorry, but 2ks basketball has it's issues but it just doesn't feel like that to me online.

I still have 6 hours left on my 18 trial from EA Access (or whatever it is called) that I haven't cancelled yet to do an incredible level of laziness. by this time on other versions, especially last gen, I would have 100's of games played with my club.

Im not a big nba2k player, but I find it odd you dont have that feeling with that game. To me nba2k feels like one animation to another. Ive found nothing fluid about that game.

The only Madden I played was offline franchise and career mode.

I couldn't agree more, this game rarely plays up to its capabilities. Clunky is a good description that's the way the game plays. Some examples:

Mud in the Skates
Controller not syncing with in-game play controls (lagging)
Passing, aim a pass is off
Receiving a pass in the offensive zone, can't move quickly (I guess this too is Mud in the Skates)

Sports games have been going down hill for years. Some more than others. Both basketball games are the worst garbage I've ever seen, just a clunky stream of triggering animations. Nhl has become a close third. They spend so many resources creating these animations but they can't create a smooth fun game.

It's not that I don't understand how difficult it is. What annoys me is that it used to be so much better.

Just feels like 2Ks animations are less intrusive, imo.
