People play VS, go down by a goal or 2 and just stop playing the game....

Either play or quit, stop being a bunch of losers smh how bad this community has gotten over the years. There should be an automatic kick for inactivity in this game just like there is with just about every other game out. Waste of my time to play games like the one I just played where I sit there for 2 straight periods skating around with the puck while the other guy puts his controller down

  • This is a sad sad game, has been for the last 7 years. This group of developers doesn't understand how to make a online competitive game. They obviously have never played an online game.

I can assure you many of the developers have played online games and play the NHL series online
Do, or do not, there is no try
  • The gaming community as a whole has gotten worse over the last few years and it's why I rarely play any game online anymore and it's not just NHL it's all games.

Too many people aren't there to play a game and have fun but they are there to win at all costs. Find a group of friends who play or join a group and stick with them it's what I've done

Most games I stick with my friends on, but just in general you’ll play and people will either do whatever it takes to win whether it’s glitching or using any form of an exploit (on NHL and in general) or they’re just overall poor sports who on NHL will either just start diving all over the place, or in EASHL will just stop playing the game and just run at you for hits regardless of if you’re near the play, or put their controller down OR my favorite, just start pulling the goalie...

It’s frustrating and it makes me feel old because “back in the day” this isn’t how gaming was...you didn’t have people let their controller down, you didn’t have them diving everywhere and pulling their goalie...just like on R6 Siege, you didn’t used to just have people team kill you all the time on shooting games and now I’m lucky if a random doesn’t team kill me at least once a game on Siege...

100% which is why I contemplated selling my PS4 for months. Games come out broken and half baked these days and the good gamers are few and far between. It is great when you find a good bunch but like I said, too few.

And since most games these days cater to online, I might as well dust off the PS3 and play some of the greatest single player games ever made.

This is super frustrating. Wait 10 - 20 minutes for a game of 6 vs 6, only to end up playing 6 on 2 before the first period is over if it plays to the end at all.
They could take away the "quit game" option for EASHL. But then, if you get into a game with a troll, you're stuck there for 20 min.
OK, a vote kick system could handle that and then no option to quit out of a game .... People would start to troll to get out of a loss.
I don't see any solution EA could implement here that would solve the human misbehaving. I think that all you can do is to play after midnight, at least you're playing with adults.

Yeah it’s annoying but at the same time it’s usually the scrubs quitting that caused the team to go down early 2 or 3-0. Then it’s much easier to comeback and win using the A.I effectively. This can work against us though when it’s the scrubs on the other team that quit.

How are these scrubs suppose to get any better if they keep quitting games against adversity and better players?

Bring back 12 player private drafts!

  • If a player reaches 3 warnings for not playing they get a 3 day ban.
If it continues each game you take a random player off their team, till they have none left.
Only thing to worry about is EA will need to distinguish between disconnections and just quitting.
  • I just want to play one drop in game where half the people dont quit after 1st period

Apparently they want to go back and play the lobby simulator some more and wait another 15+ minutes to start a game.

As for the trash community.... EA needs to punish the trolls and griefers. It has been ruining the series for years and drives people away from the game. There should be aggressive auto kicks for bad behaviour and temporary bans for people who quit out of games. If you quit, you should not be allowed to play for a period of time. You should also be able to rejoin the game if you get dropped.
  • There should also be a 15 second limit in the lobby to pick your position/side.
  • I just don’t understand what the point is of playing if you’re just gonna troll, like is that really how bored people are now?

I also don’t understand the point of when you play drop ins, if you pick defense as your position before even entering the game, so it isn’t like you’re forced to play D like how it used to be, why do these kids constantly try to play offense while they’re D?

It’s generally easier to get in a drop in game as a dman. That’s why.

  • Just got out of a drop in game. Level 1 player picks C. Ok, maybe a second account. Nope! Once the game starts it’s someone who has never played the game of hockey or has watched a game

I appreciate and welcome newcomers to the sport of hockey and this game but really?! Please start wth an offline mode to learn the game and how to play. This C was offsides in their zone for the majority of the time while were in OURS and he’s yelling “I’m open, why aren’t you all passing the puck to me”.

This would be like me never watching or playing basketball and then playing NBA’s MyPark as a point guard.
  • your seeing more trolls bcz peep are more **** at the game. It's just not as fun as it used to be.
until they bring lobbies back dropin is a joke, don't even waste your time.

on topic yeah vs sucks too find some friends join an eashl club so you can complain about DDA / ice tilt.

I have a hard time wanting to spend money on a yearly script and last night reminded me of this on 14 (just one) all the Lag Switchers. It's sad that we cant publicly call them out to shame them but I also understand why we cant!.
To me I kept thinking to myself...I can play this game great playing true hockey sim, therfore why do others need to do one move wonders that are wrap or slap shots up close?.
If you want a fare game,a player who plays clean, never wraps, never slap shots infront of your goalie, never pauses the game before puck faceoffs to get an advantage, that player is me!.
The only time I will pause the game is before opening faceoff so I can do my stratagies...thats it!.

Sadly for those types of people, it is actually so much more rewarding to troll than to actually play. Some days I feel like trolling too, but in the end I play the selected position to the best of my abilities. I think there is a certain responsibility that comes with joining a game.

The kids dont understand the basic principle of respect. Every player should respect both their teammates and opponents.

Dont troll your teammates, and play out a game no matter how bad it gets. Theres nothing more frustrating than waiting 20 minutes for a game to start only for the other team to quit after giving up 2 goals in five minutes. Now we have to wait another 20 minutes to play....

And it is also in poor taste to leave your game unnatended just because you are losing badly. Sure, i'll take a free win, but i want to play against someone that will try to fight back.

Over 50% of the games I've "lost" are from my having to quit the game because the other goalie or 2-3 of their skaters decided to quit after our team scored a bunch of goals in the 1st. After that it's the same old story; my teammates stop shooting, stop playing, because they spend their entire time complaining about the "over powered" AI. Meanwhile the opposing team takes advantage of the fact the AI cheats and reads our inputs.

No thank you! I'm not about dat life, fam...

If I wanted to play vs. the cheating AI, I would play Offline or HUT or VS. Which I don't. It's why I can't stand playing this game anymore.
