Just saw NHL Twitter say the final is at 4PM EST twitch.tv/NHL
Might have to get a tall boy and tune in.

Thanks for the update tastey
Agreed.
Believe it has already been decided. Eki won. NHL retweeted stuff like 4hrs ago.
This problem has been around since playing NHL 09. Sad really when you think about it.
Honestly if you think the best players are playing in this final you are absolutely crazy.. I’m not saying I’m the best but I won my first 2 games easily and my next game I was sooo bad and laggy “fat man in mud” syndrome I couldn’t skate or turn and I’m sure I’m not the only person who knows this struggle when you lag and scrubs are beating you. It’s annoying and frustrating. I told a mediator 2 min into the game my situation but they didn’t care. The Game isn’t aboue skill anymore it’s about who has the better connection or isn’t lagging.. also glitch goals have taken over. Same goals over and over in this tournament.
Its unfortunate but even league of legends has had to restart matches live on twitch before due to ingame glitches. And everyone there is being paid.
Again, certainly unfortunate, but not a laughing stock of E-Sports.
Watching Young Gren play defence was pathetic. I'm pretty sure he doesn't know how to backskate.
It would be embarrassing if anyone was watching besides a handful of guys that already see this all the time because they play the game regularly.
This. I only knew about the event cause it was tweeted. I only watched because I've been a diehard NHLer since the beginning.
After watching the loop I took to Twitter and couldn't find a single person talking about the event or the loop glitch.
Why aren’t there any popular esports titles that are traditional sports games? You could maybe make an argument for FIFA but it still doesn’t compete with esports games that aren’t sports games.
People can already watch traditional sports on TV. Watching some people play the exact same sport but on a video game sounds just plain boring.
Also, you have to consider the spectator experience. Watching 6s would be a mess. I’d rather watch a more open 3v3 game that isn’t as cluttered on the screen.
As far as implementation goes, I’d probably use an ice surface that was smaller than regulation but bigger than arcade threes. I have several other ideas too but that would be for another thread...
I didn’t get to see it. What if anything was said when it happened?
They just cut away for a bit and let the commentators talk. It wasn't near as bad as it's being made out to be. Within a couple minutes they basically picked up where they left off. I didn't even see a loop. There was a pulled goalie though. It was during the last 10 minutes of the second period I think. Then it looked like both players just stopped playing for a moment. Then they cut to the commentators and resolved the problem after a couple minutes. If I recall right. I might be a little wrong, but I believe that's how it played out.
Ah ty I got you. Seems like a lot of things are blown out of proportion on these forums.
Yeah. Most definitely.
You likely didn't see the loop because you didn't even watch it. It clearly loops at 2:09 left in the second and jumps back to 17:30 in the 2nd. Took em 6 minutes to resolve the problem with a "ghost game" and started the gameplay at 3:00 giving Gren an extra min but whatever.
The point isn't that it only took 6 minutes to fix the problem, it's that this happens frequently and EA doesn't do anything to resolve it despite being a legacy issue.
