EA, Thanks for doing nothing for BE A PRO again, do you listen to feedback?

Prev13
Do you value customers, or just pro gamers and streamers?

Who wanted pond hockey? Its just another game mode to push away from what needs to be fixed.

They care only about adding 200 new legends in the game so people can spend in hopes of getting them i guarantee by October you will have to buy pond hockey clothing because sales will be down and they will need to make there money somehow.

There coming out with a skating engine that stated FIFA was using last year just without the ice and skates so in my book thats outdated already.

NO GM CONNECTED people have been asking for that for years thats how i know they don't value or listen to customers. But hey streamers get free hut points and cards all time. They leave everybody else in the dark.

I agree , I have so many people that want to play GM Connected. SMH. If I had the money I would totally start a business and find the right people to make improvements and not band-aids. People that want to make a real hockey game. EA was ruined the moment Ultimate team came out .

  • hey at least i still have NHL 14... Another you that I will skip the title because all they care about is their cash shop. Not gonna lie haven't bout an EA title since 2013 and they are still giving me no reason to open my wallet

I could care less about be a pro. I think updating it is a waste, but I do care about eashl. Ill take a new to the series year old skating engine than the bad 5 year old one we've had that doesnt work well any day. Guess what, people on these forums have also been asking for that for years.

See how your not the only one in the world with an opinion on what should be fixed or updated or added onto?

Of course they listen to feedback, but not everyone is always going to be pleased.

I'm still trying to figure out who are the group of people which asked for pond hockey, because I'm not finding it.

I certainly did see more people talk about Be a Pro than playing outdoor hockey. (which I'm interested in neither btw).

Actually pond hockey as well as the outdoor classic has been asked for by many people for years... Even going back to the PS3 days it's been asked for...

As for the starter of this thread I'm not entirely sure nothings been done to BAP considering I've seen Game Changers in other threads say nothing about BAP has been released yet so they really couldn't talk about it... So I'd just sit back and actually wait to see what's coming...

A little disconcerting to see a gamechanger with this outlook as a gamechanger should you not want to see the game improved as a whole not just what your interested in seems a bit self serving and not the kinda attitude that should be involved in the program

Talked with plenty of people when winter classic came out, seemed like no one cared for it from my perspective.

The program started out as EASHL only. Since then it has branched out more, and added more members as a result. I'm not going to pretend to not have a bit of a bias though.

Thats because it wasnt implemented right it was a novelty one an done for most people it needed to be integrated into franchise bap eashl hut every mode not as a stand alone feature
  • Yep, incredibly disappointing to see no BAP or Franchise focus. They're huge staples of the game.

Can't wait for EA to make me face off as a BAP winger in overtime again for '19.

Well for all intents and purposes EASHL is just an online BAP so upgrades and changes made to BAP that could be implemented into EASHL or vice versa should concern you if upgrading BAP is a waste then so is upgrading EASHL so the bias seems a bit misdirected you could hate season mode or hut that have no impact on EASHL\BAP an thatd be fine but 2 modes so similar that could gain a lot from each other seems like a waste to hate on one or the other

The only similarity is you use a created skater. But fans of be a pro want a full fleshed story mode with cutscenes and immersion. Nothing wrong with that, but it's not related to EASHL and not my cup of tea.

I'm an advocate for EASHL and gameplay advances.

Well theres more than that whether you see it or not both modes are about using a created skater yes but if thats the only similarity you see then youre pretty narrow minded its about using your skater playing out your career winning championships tracking stats reaching milestones being a member of a team\Club training\Upgrading your skater which both modes could definitely benefit from a new training upgrade system theres alot of similar aspects to the two modes and while i dont think BAP needs a story mode per se it does need alot more immersion creating features which EASHL needs as well and both modes could benefit from the same features

    No he's 100% correct. I'm also 100% EASHL.

We play in sim type leagues where we take some screenshots or such and it keeps track of our stats. Many of us club hop because we don't care about our stats either. Sure it was nice they added milestone type stuff but it's nothing more than ego enhancement there.

Yes you have your passions and maybe someday they throw you a bone with a new Stanley Cup celebration and story mode but I wouldn't get the hopes up as they really push hard for HUT over anything else and then online play of other modes.

Please, no need to start with the insults. I understand youre trying to push your agenda here but im not the person you need to be doing that to, its EA. Those surveys they send out late in the year asking about what people want are a reflection of what we see in some of these new features. Trust me when I say if there was an overwhelming support for the Be a Pro additions they put on those surveys, youd see them in these games.

    And lastly,
its about using your skater playing out your career winning championships tracking stats reaching milestones being a member of a team\Club training\Upgrading your skater

Ive been playing eashl for almost 10 years and if I asked anybody their top 3 reasons why they like or what they want in the mode, none of this would be mentioned.

EASHL is about competition, your human teammates and you becoming a well oiled machine on the ice, preferably without AI getting in the way. EASHL is about establishing friendships online, creating rivals with other players and teams, discovering new talent, rising up the leaderboards (used to be anyway), tweaking your player build to your unique playstyle as you see fit. The other stuff is fluff - the cosmetics, the stadiums, the celebrations; its all nice additions to surround a core design that EA didnt really build, its just hockey. You lose a lot of that when you just play offline with ai robots who do the same moves and think the same way after you've played 10-15 games. Its not organic.

So I want to see improvements to on ice gameplay and other things relating to that core experience above all else first. The other stuff, the cosmetics, the casual gear, thats all easy to think of, to do, and to execute.

    Sorry for being narrow minded.

From a player perspective I understand how this can be perceived, that it would be in EA's interest to have Game Changers that want every aspect of the game improved however that's not the case. Game Changers are players like you, who inevitable have preferred game modes & will naturally be more passionate about these game modes. That's the point he is making here, is that we all have preferences & provide different feedback on the back-end however it doesn't mean that we don't listen to you.

EASHL has always been @B-Bunny 's baby, there is no secret there. If you haven't checked it out here is an interview he did back in February on EASHL.

I'll just wrap this up by sharing a passage from our Game Changer site on feedback:
WHAT IF I POST NEGATIVE FEEDBACK ON THE GAME, OR EA?
If a Game Changer posts a negative review or content about the company or one of our games that is honest and constructive – they will have our thanks and full support. We demand that our Game Changers act with honesty with us, with our dev teams, and with the community. Sometimes this can make things uncomfortable! EA is committed to being player first and earning the trust of our community. We make mistakes and get things wrong all the time. For our teams to improve and get better, we need our Game Changers to keep it real.

So i take it there are no game changers that look into making be a pro better or suggesting an update it has not been updated in 4 years and i don't feel i should have to play against other humans to experience new game modes puck ragging and glitch goals took away that fun. You call it a community i don't see that maybe if i was a pro NHL gamer, youtuber, streamer, or game changer they might listen to me but i have never been asked anyways how i could improve the game or provide suggestions to improve the game, so you can see why i have a bad taste in mouth honestly i don't think 1v1v1 hockey is gonna help the game because i know many people enjoy modes like be a pro or franchise mode ( which got a scouting update ) people have been asking for GM connected for years and have truly never got a response of why it has not been put back into the game.

You greatly overestimate the influence a gamechanger has if you think you just need to say what you want and why and itll be in the game.

You and possibly other game changers are part of the problem in a sense. You have the attitude that the mode in the game isn't important, so therefore from what I can sense, you make no effort to try to use the influence as little as it may be, to help that mode become better.

I found myself playing some Be A Pro when it was live the life mode late in the PS3 cycle, even if that was all that got added, it would still be a vast improvement.

I say this post as respectfully as I can because I appreciate what you do. But your reply struck a nerve I guess.

    Have a good day.
