A quick thank you.
This years game is really REALY great.
Yup...the drop in solo bug is a stinker...but besides that ...excellent work!!
I understand the frustration due to that...but let’s be honest
99.5 percent of us have no clue how hard it is to program and make a flawless game.
Most fun I’ve had since the introduction of EASHL.
Good work fellas!

Bugs aside, gameplay is great. For years I've been an offline first player cause I couldn't stand the skating and the fat man lag. Every EASHL game but one has played flawlessly.
Good work indeed!
You’re the best EA, keep on keepin on
They’ve been at this same franchise for over 20 years, they've had 5 years on the current gen to get it right and then never even attempt to fix the broken parts of the game, they just add new recycled features and modes to distract you from the fact that they are incompetent
Bacon Slapshot- Fixed.
Short side wrister- Fixed.
Backhand forehand- Much harder.
I'm just gonna assume every goal on you is a glitch in your mind.
I dunno, something like the skill tree might be interesting in EASHL as well? Or not?
Yeah, the "Go-To" shots this year are not automatic anymore. However, I do agree there are still flaws in the game and it mostly has to do with the poor AI.
Anyways, I am also having a great time this year. Obviously connection issues have been an issue in EASHL, but overall, the gameplay has been the best so far.
Short side wrister can still be scored automatic lol Jesus Christ do you and catfish even play this game or do you literally just sit on the forums the whole time
I don't think One/threes (arcade) are being referred to here as the goalies are much much easier to score on in those modes. As I said in another thread, I don't believe forehand backhand is an exploit. That's the opponents fault for being out of position. Even so, I don't think it's as easy as years past. You can definitely still score on them, but I don't think it's automatic.
I've actually never seen the Bacon Slapshot done to me nor have I tried it. It's a shame if people are constantly do that shot as I have watched videos and that is truly an exploit goal.
They took some steps backward in creation, Legends aren't even available to be used in Franchise, and the menu navigation and responsiveness is, still after these years, complete and utter slow garbage. EA just smacks a new wallpaper on the screen, adds some animation flair that further slows down the menus, and alters the font. No excuse for how slow and laggy the main screens are for a damn 2018 game.
They could've had a great game here. Skating overhaul was a push in the right direction, but how the hell can you take 10 steps back on things like menus, matchmaking, and modes. How can you not build on things like Be A Pro, where other sports games have made that mode amazing. I have never played HUT, but I hear it's a cash grab. Could have sacrificed Ones and Arcade Threes to make EASHL drops/clubs a memorable thing.
I know how hard it is to work in Software Engineering. I'm a SE myself for a corporate entity and I get so fed up on the bugs because we go to great lengths to bug test and demo before we put a product out. So yeah, thanks, it could be better. Much, much, much, much, much, much better. Especially with what you charge for this game year after year.
I can understand this perspective if this was some indie company throwing out their first attempt. But this is EA, and this the what, 27th iteration of the game?
I don't accept the difficulty of releasing a AAA game if you're going to deliver an AA game but charge AAA price. Furthermore, why has EA remained near silent about the issues we've brought to them about the problems of the game?
EA needs to be held accountable for the crap job they have done with this game this year. Sorry, but the fantastic gameplay they introduced does not make up for the crap job they did the matchmaking system and CHEL in general.
Legends? Great. But not able to be used in franchise or in player management? How the hell do you mess that up?
Customization in WOC? Great. But unlocking hockey bags is a crapshoot especially in club. I don’t need jerseys of other NHL teams or goalie equipment if I don’t play goalie
More more more
So... because it's hard... sounds like millenials are taking over
Nah, we play EASHL and have a good time.
Why does everyone go straight to the broken car analogies? The game isn't broken just because it doesn't meet your standards. Matchmaking is currently flawed for EASHL, but there are people who are still getting into full games without issues. I stated before that AI have some issues as well, but it doesn't make the game unplayable, just frustrating.
I've been a fan of this series for a long time, just like many of you. With what we have endured the last 5 years, to say that this is worse than 17 or 18 is just crazy to me.
Crazy? What's crazy is I can play eashl in 18. I cannot in my brand new version of the game. To think this game isn't broken is insanity. I hear the Browns are looking for cheerleaders.
