Product not as advertised

I really wanted to be a big fan of NHL 19 but after a week or two of playing the whole game just changed. Yes, the first version at the release wasn't perfect but It sure was fun. Now things just keep changing and it almost feels like the product is wearing out more. I wish I could recommend the game to my friends but I simply can't. Please give us our money back or give us the product as advertised.

The people who pay money to EA.

  • I want my money back too for false advertised
  • The best option is not to buy next years product, It's always been discussed, but after this mess I think a lot more players are done. I know I am.

With how much they’ve apparently ruined the online play for many, how little the AI has been improved offline, and now the baitNswitch marketing with legends for offline players, I truly see NHL 20 being one of the lowest selling games of the series.

They’ve lost everyone’s trust. They’ve proven that even when they make a fast, fun, very enjoyable and rewarding online competitive experience, they’ll always revert back to the same EA cheese hockey regardless of feedback from non-streamers. When they go “all-in” on adding legends to the game, they’ve proven that it’s only for the modes that make them more money. They even took out edit player in season mode which I don’t understand how was a casualty of the new features they added...

Other than HUT streamers, I think every other part of the playerbase has to have had some (or complete) loss of trust in EA in this generation alone right? This year will be the 2nd huge marketing scandal and what...3rd matchmaking/lobby issue year which has made the game borderline unplayable for the 6s community?

I see this year being very hard to recover from. Trust has to be hanging on by a thread for the hardcore 6s community and completely non-existent for the offline player, right?

Well said the only ones who seem to be happy are some of the elite game changer streamers because hey now their disciples can tell them how great they are again

Played a few games of 1.01 and 1.03 offline, what a difference. It doesn't even feel like the same game. Makes me so mad that they went back to twitch streamers "ragging with a side of cheese hockey". Beta tuner was just hockey, and as a die hard hockey fan, I believe they nailed it with 1.01.

I'm not an offline player and never was, but 1.01 oddly is more fun offline than online. If I want to have a game of hockey I play offline now, I don't want to play anymore online. It's just the most boring thing ever when all you get matched up against is raggers and players who try for short side goals the whole game. That's not hockey.

If EA could only do this one thing - Pick a tuner in settings

    Online Versus, HUT, EASHL tuner

    1.01 / 1.03

Pretty sure the "elite players" would have no one to play if so,

Info from EA about how to get a refund (or partial) would be great. I paid for the beta gameplay. Not this garbage.

For those asking for a refund here is an extract from our How to get a refund for EA Games article.
We cannot assist with returns for purchases made outside of Origin.
    • Did you buy a game for your PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox? You’ll need to get a refund from the point of sale. That means if you bought it from the digital store on your console, reach out to them for a refund.
    • If you bought one of our games or products from third-party retailer, you’ll need to go back to them to return or exchange your purchase. And remember, they’ll have their own refund policy.
  • I spoke to Microsoft/XBOX a month in and they told me I can't return for a refund due to the fact it had been a month, if it was a week they said they could have done it. I did call back and spoke to another agent and they confirmed the samething.

I agree, this year should sting, but you never know. But the fact you read comments and reviews and it's pretty unanimous on what players think of the game should be an easy decision.

Did the article you posted have a tuner too? It appears that you just changed it and did away with the old one?

Instead of telling us how to get our money back a good customer service move for EA would be to make the game the way it was at release. As you can read we all liked it better. PLEASE BRING BACK BETA TUNER!
  • I’ve wondered about the whole “game changer,” program a bunch this past week and the question keeps circling;

do any of them, or have they ever, played hockey..like on actual ice and stuff. If no, what qualifications do they have? How does one find this stuff out.
All Comments pertain to 6v6 drop in unless otherwise stated..

No but I've ripped open plenty of packs.

What qualifications are you looking for? Does a Call of Duty champion have to be able to handle a weapon? Been in the military? It's a video game, it should be treated as such.
