Could a Dev possibly answer this? (Traits)

Is there any concrete data about the specialty traits in EASHL? I see some traits say "slight increase" others simply say "Increase to" is the first a +2-3 bonus and the second a +5? Traits like Hot Saucer also say they increase the pass accuracy of saucing, but what does that exactly mean if saucing is a manual pass? Is there some type of pass assist added onto the sauce in itself? Do any of these specialty traits have any hidden effects, for example a deke specialty; does it make it so using said deke is almost guaranteed on top of the bonus itself or is it simply a minor boost to the deke stat?
Thank you.

It’s a Saturday morning; you might not see a response as quickly as you’d like.
  • Good question.
  • It's monday now so I'm going to bump this in hopes that a developer see's this.
  • Usually they wont respond unless you say a bad word in my dealings with the ones whose name we are forbidden to say.

Not true at all. Look for the “Developer” header in various threads.
Plus there is an ongoing mega thread about DDA/ice tilt.

Across the various traits and specializations there are a bunch of differences. Traits are attribute additions and subtractions across the board that would apply across anything your player is doing at all times where as specializations are usually situational.

For specializations, it could sometimes bump a certain attribute during that particular situation or move/action or it can limit the amount of error applied during that action.

Some may bump certain attributes or decrease error more or less than others to keep more traits and specializations balanced with each other since not all attributes are equal against each other on a point to point basis so that is why you see varying language where a big increase in one may be on par with a slight increase in another. All comes down to player choice in the end.

We may post more details at some point for those that want to get in and min/max things but overall, the goal was that it was less about looking for those types of edges and more about players deciding which pieces make sense for their game rather than worrying about a poke attribute being a +6 instead of a +7 and trying them all out to see what they prefer for their personal game.
