Not much of a questionnaire, two pages with one page asking which game modes I play... shouldn't they have abundant stats of the most played game modes?

But at least we're able to insert our top complaints there...

That question wouldnt have been asked for usage metrics but instead to see what groups are represented in the survey results and what top issues are relative to mode usage.
  • I don't think the survey won't make the difference to this edition. I already got bait n switch market scammed with legends so that was nice steal from my wallet EA.

I don't think the survey won't make the difference to this edition. I already got bait n switch market scammed with legends so that was nice steal from my wallet EA.

But the Game is playing exactly as they intended. There is now "skill gap". Aka cheese goals and selfish play. Also apparently it's ok to false advertise things right on the case of the game and not deliver. You gotta remember this is all from a company that doesn't fix Game breaking errors like the DRE but when there's a problem with HUT they seem to find a way to fix within days if not hours.

If the rest of the game was allowed the time and resources as hut gets, we might have a fully functioning product but unfortunately they haven't figured out a way to further monetize other game modes so they just don't care. You better believe if eashl made them more money there would have been a fix long ago. EA is a disgrace as a company and I feel bad for the devs because they seem to care but aren't allowed to do anything about it.

    I have to disagree here.

Listen, as fun as it is to bash EA, it has to have truth to it. If you remember on old gen there were boosts you could purchase for your EASHL player. That has been removed which you want to admit or not, has removed revenue from the game.
They could have added even more boosts to buy, or jacked the prices.
Instead, they removed that revenue stream. Gotta give credit where it's due.

Well you got me there but they've also revamped player progression entirely since then. I completely forgot about those boosts but also there were only so many you could buy which limited their cash flow so maybe the effort wasn't paying off enough where as in hut people will never stop buying packs

So for example, if I said I played franchise mode, and I thought the scouting budget for expansion teams was too low, would that be helpful to you guys?

Regardless that they revamped player progression because they could have revamped it with purchasable equipment or boosts. They chose to do it without revenue.

And while yes, it is true those EASHL boosts generated nowhere near the money HUT does it was still revenue. Maybe it was only $10k, maybe it was $100k. Who knows? Point is, they still stopped charging us for it and it is lost revenue and honestly they weren't forced to do it. It would be like if you gave $50 to a total stranger for no reason. Would you do it? EA did by removing those sales.

I'm n saying maybe keeping those boosts in and programming them etc cost more than it was worth to them? Not trying to give you a hard time man just friendly discussion

That is a possibility for sure.

Hey no worries here. I am not offended or getting worked up. S'all good man.

Yep. Also, feel free to make a post specifically about those types of things and tag me in it and I will send them directly to the Modes team.

  • What about increasing the capacity of the NHL servers? So they aren't scaled so small, high traffic, etc.??

Anything that could help with latency/input delay?

Ea will never do this. It would require them to spend some of the money they rake in from hut and as we've all seen from this and other ea games, it's not about the experience for the player as much as it is trying to make money. They are a business sure, but it seems they do nothing to go that extra mile for the consumer

You guys completely ignore your Legends mishap (maybe even purposeful deception) for 3 months and have the freaking gull to ask for feedback?

3 months, still mum on something that was supposed to work on launch. You guys are so incredibly lucky you get away with this garbage. Probably why you're consistently underhanded.

You should be dealing with what Bethesda and others have had to deal with lately.

If NHL was a bigger title they probably would be. Tuner 1.00 is the canvas bag we were promised, and Tuner 1.03 is the nylon trash bag we were sent.

I could be wrong but I think NHL 18 was one of the lowest selling games for EA hockey. And these last couple of tuners made 19 similar to a poorly sold hockey game? Pretty confused about this move from EA.

Did anyone here really enjoy 18 as a package? Why is 19 playing so much like a game not many liked?!? Why is this so difficult for EA to process??? :|

Because... Skill gap... Get gud bro. Lol
  • Speaking of feedback on...can I ask a question that every NHL developer since release has ignored, and ran away scared from?

When will the actual NHL 19 game allow us paying customers to do stuff that was in your promotional material for NHL 19 - specifically the use of legends to win the Stanley Cup aka use legends offline.

I'd like to know too, and if I'm not mistaken isn't false advertising illegal? How do they get away with this? I guess probably the same way they get away with a game mode being broken to the point that is nearly impossible to get into a game. You hear of recalls on products all the time due to them being faulty so where is the accountability for software companies to compensate when their product is broken, or missing features that they are Still advertising?

Software companies should also be forced by law to give refunds when their product is broken. Why do they get away with this? I could see if it happened one year and we got a quick fix but every year this game comes out there are major things broken and they continue to get away with it

Over in Europe, they have laws for this kind of business practice. Not sure how it works exactly but basically a customer is able to get a full refund for a half functioning product.

Tuning/updating the game where it plays drastically different from release day sounds a lot like false advertising. Basically, I chipped over $65+ for a game I liked which lasted about a month until it became NHL 18 again.
