Connectivity issues

I believe there is something wrong with the change between p2p and dedi servers. As I have experienced a lot of games with very poor input lag.
I have seen others also mention the same problem. I will have a good connection but my players take literally half a second or more to respond to commands.
I play on a Xbox One X with a Samsung 28" monitor with high speed refresh rate 60/120fps and millisecond input response time. Hardwired - 300 Mbps dl / 25 Mbps ul. I have an open NAT with suggested ports forwarded. I have no packet loss and my modem/router has good levels.
Previous to the update to dedi servers. I would not experience this problem unless the p2p connection was fair/poor and/or fluctuating. I could pass and switch my players instantly.
Now, it's become almost unplayable. When I switch my player it takes half a second or more for him to start even moving. So when Im trying to defend my goalie, the other player just blows right past me and I'm ending up trying to catch up. So its like my players arent even moving as fast as they should be either. They are not receiving input commands because of this delay.
So when I'm using McDavid that supposedly has 99 overall skating ability. He skates around like he's an 85 at most.
Also, when I go to shoot the puck. I have to decide well before hand or else I lose the puck.
I really don't know how else to explain how irritating this can be for not just myself but other's as well. I would greatly appreciate some sort of feedback on this. Thanks.

It's the same high speed hdmi the Xbox One X came with. Games on Xbox are bottle necked at 60fps, but most are still 30fps.
This problem doesn't exist on any other games I play online. Only NHL 19.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.. I should be connecting to the western US/Canadian servers.
This game should have region locks as well. I know the game needs to stay competitive but people connecting from NA to Europe is just not realistic. Regardless, who ever gets the better connection usually wins based off of skill set.
Due to these input lag instances I have been placed back in Div 2 or Div 3. When I was in solid Div 1 for quite a while.
a few times i;ve corrected it with a timeout, even AI was intoxicated. haha.
If you read my op. You'll see I have an open NAT with port forwarding set up.
I have seen this too. Is this due to region-locking (Due to a high amount of North American players using GameSharks/other game hacking devices.)?
I went dmz, opened it right up.
but im wondering if people are lagging out their connection when match making, once you find an opponent you resume normal connection to give you advantage. still doesnt explain why teams using a bunch of 85s, their 80 overall mcdavid toews and tarasenko, and skating circles around all your small fast players. wheres the middle finder emoji when you need it, EA
Only asking as I'm not at home and never actually looked for this option. But is it just an option to toggle in the settings? And what setting menu is it under?
Thanks in advance.
Yep, just go through your xbox's system settings. Go to preferences and turn off dvr or capturing.
If you also have any downloads, uploads, or any programs still open in the backround. Finish them, Cancel and close them before you even think of opening the game.
To EA Sports, this UI issue still exists when I played the NHL 20 beta.
As for people with the PS4. It might be the same for them as well. If anyone can give some insight, that would be awesome.
