Free Agency Ryan Reaves Challenges 8 and 9
The win by 2 challenges are completely impossible to beat. Anytime I score the CPU scores immediately after. I have been trying the challenges for days and can't complete them. I however was able to complete every challenge for Matt Moulson and Mike Cammaleri earlier in July. So the win by 2 challenges against the capitals and lightning i believe are bugged.

I am fully aware they are on all star, i have been trying to complete them for 2 days and i cant win by 2... ive tired them upwards of 40 times and have never won by 2. I believe it is a bug, because i have beat plenty of all star challenges in the past within 5 games.
I'll take it you downloaded the game free a couple months ago and probably don't have enough high rated players yet, so trying to beat these on All Star isn't as easy for others who have some high 90 guys. So I get your frustration, I still can't beat a breakaway challenge in one of the progression challenges to this day with basically all 99 guys. Anyways my best advice to you would be just try and keep getting that 1 goal lead and just hope you can keep it until the last minute of the 3rd period so when they pull their goalie you can get another one, I know it's not as easy without high rated guys, but that's really your best bet if you can't get enough high rated guys in time to complete it.
That's exactly the strategy if you're having difficulty... push hard to get ahead 1-0, then play lock-down defense until the final minute when the AI pulls its goalie then get the empty-netter. Adjust your strategies accordingly.
Similarly for challenges where you need a short-handed goal, take a penalty with about a minute to go in the game, then get the empty-net shorty.
Yes same kind of strategy for the shorthanded goal if the team you're facing is on a tougher difficulty, or your team isn't as strong yet, definitely the best way to complete that.
Tons of little things, like faceoffs for instance need to get a certain percentage or more then the other on a tougher difficulty, use your best Center as much as possible when the bar on the line is green and when you win the draw in the neutral zone dump it over the boards and win it again do it over and over again to rack them up, just don't dump it over the boards in your own zone and draw penalty, but do it in the neutral zone and win another, or heck just ice the puck to get another faceoff.
Have 1 minute time on attack, you can literally skate down the boards and stop inbetween the hash marks at the faceoff circle and face the boards and let go of the controller and rack that minute up without being touched lol, so easy.
Need to get more shots then the other team, or just need to get so many shots but just didn't have enough time, go to overtime let them score to tie it, so it gives you more time to get more shots still, or even faceoffs if you need it go to overtime, give yourself more time to complete it, don't always have to win the game just beat the objective.
Little things that can help get them done if needed.
Had to play it four times until I managed to get a good lead and then ragged the puck like maniac without whistles lol.
The challenges aren't supposed to be realistic. Not sure what your point is.
