No Helmet Glitch MUST be patched out

It takes me out of the game when I see a team of 5 playing with the no helmet glitch. It's distracting. It doesn't feel like an NHL game and any sense of realism is lost. This no helmet glitch has been in the game for years and I have tolerated it but now it must go. How do you respond NHL devs?

You do know it's not a glitch anymore right? It's an option to play without a helm. It's a highly requested feature and not going anywhere.

That is incorrect. Only for casual modes can you play without a helmet. You do not have the option for 6v6 EASHL Club games and it is definitely a glitch. You can play without a helmet in dropin but he is talking about Club games.

Jeez guys you need to get out more - NHL20 isn't hockey either, it's a video game. So what if the player sprites aren't wearing a lid - if it doesn't affect gameplay then what is the problem?

It does affect it though. I don't want to see some silly cartoon mug when I'm trying to concentrate on a hockey game.

We have dozens of goofy emotes such as Gangnam Style dance as intros, but no helmet is what takes you out of the game?

All of the clown gear, the outdoor rinks with shadows that have a noticeable negative impact in playing the game...but no helmet is worse?

Yes, no helmet is the worst. In real life an NHL layer could do whatever celebration they want, but people haven't played without helmets in ages. If it was a throwback game at least it woild make sense but those don't exist in the world of chel of course. Just make it practical... Don't let us all play with no helmets because it looks cool to some people, or someone wants to culturally appropriate a race by making some funny looking character to distract the other player.

Wrong and this thread explains why the game is the way it is. You literally go to Pro area of customize and it says option None. It's not in the casual only area.... that is just for your clothes. I'd say more and what I really think of this thread and the people in it but Roger would get mad at me.

Ok well, all 6s games should require a helmet. Why do we need to see dumb cartoon character faces while playing a pro hockey game?

I just feel sorry for you if the fact that you can see a characters face in a video games messes it up for you. There is whole world of sports and fun games out there who's faces aren't covered you're missing out on.

Those weird created players are the funniest thing ever. I don’t get why it bother you though, it is just a head, it doesn’t make the player faster or whatever, it is just weird. Focus on the game and forget about it. You should have seen some of the weird created players that were on MLB the Show Diamond Dynasty this year. They use the weird players with the weirdest stance just to screw with their opponent, if you fall for it, it is kind of your fault.

LOL, out of all the things that makes up this game, the no helmets is where you draw the line? That is where your realism is lost?

Alrighty then, seems backskating and spazzing sideways can stay, so long as the player is safety conscientious and wears a helmet while doing it. Gotcha.

Seriously though, that's your agrument? it's not "hockey" it's a video game? It's a video game based on hockey. That alone makes it.. Hockey. I know, it's a tough concept to grasp, but them's the breaks.

Helmets didn't use to be mandatory, so it's really more nostalgic, than it is "not hockey".

Nothing wrong with it in Casual modes, like Drop-ins or ONES. But in clubs it just shouldn't be a thing. It just looks silly and the real reason people use it is to advertise their "shady" tendencies... If you know what I mean.

So they changed it. I can know remove the helmet from created old time nhl alumni players. I wasn’t able to originally
