Why is everyone wasting so much time and energy on this games flaws?. Did you expect anything good from EA?. It's a video game,if you didn't like the games from previous years ,you would not have been buying it this year! Correct?.
Hey I just got Legacy, and it has flaws, but am I on here whining about it? NO! Sorry about your luck if you bought the games plus your PSN suscription to play it,cause if you really truly have no other reason but to keep buying EA hockey titles year after year just to cry about it on here, you would not have bought it cause you love it!.
In my honest opinion..I think EA should keep on doing what their doing cause really I loved NHL 15 OFFLINE XBOX ONE..and should make ONLINE as that without tunners.
Sure EA needs improvements to better defend..but it's not EA ruining the games..it's you! the ones who keep giving them your money.

So instead of coming here to complain about the game, which is in fact, what you are saying about everyone here, you instead come to the forum of the game to complain about people complaining?
Second of all, why in the hell would you come here to complain about a 5 year old game where there is absolutely no chance of any of it getting fixed??? You really think just one single EA employee will spend an actual second on fixing Legacy??
I get what you are trying to say, but structure is everything my friend.
No...just..no. that is all
They're not fixing legacy. Heck we can't even get them to fix the current game lol
Nothing I can do about someone gifting me the game for my birthday. Believe me if it was up to me I would've spent even this 40$ my wife got this... abomination for and spent it on some other more worthwhile game. Like Destiny 2!
At least Bungie still gives a crap about their core game, even though it's rife with microtransaction nonsense like almost every other game out there.
If you loved NHL 15 then you should purchase 20. It's AS bad as that game was (gameplay wise) so it'd be right up your alley!
Yeah,I aM COMPLAINING About complainers. I don't need to flood these forums about the games cause I knew what I was buying, so I got no right to complain when I know EA's track record.
EA doesn't care to fix the NHL 20..it's a filler. All you guys do is copy and paste the same issues every year just like EA copies and paste their games yearly. Would you buy the same make of car if your previous ones kept breaking down on the road?
Personally I like Legacy..but remember this, It's what you guys type about the games that has made me wait. You got two options..do your homework before purchasing buy or dont buy.I did my homework close to all say bad about the game..but the ones who say bad about the series have kept on buying every year!.
I appreciate Bens and the rest of the Dev's team effort. Just wished you made the scoring more rewarding with hard working play, not the same glitches.
Hmmm, you say we come here to complain about the same things all the time and that it is pointless. Yet, those same complaints are the reason you haven't purchased the game.
So, with that being said, how can you claim it is pointless for people to complain? Complaining is never pointless. Sure, some people lack alot of structure in their complaints, but there is still validity within those complaints.

Speak with your wallets, thats how you get other people to make games. Heck I keep hearing alot about"Bring 2k back" well they were never any better really. Let the dev's work it out and if they can't? well they can close shop cause you and whatever thousands of people stopped buying games from them. I don't see anything being done since release so..figure it out.
I really don't see much promise going into ps5 ...sorry but I don't. Two of my friends are real pationate Fiffa fans and play it hardcore but refuse to buy the new ones..they say they not as good, and that's Fiffa..EA across the board has gotton worse from what I understand.
Saying “just don’t buy it because that’s what I did” is less useful then the rocks in my driveway, at least those rocks can hold some substance. As I tried to explain in my post but maybe I word it better, ea is taking advantage of the people who are so desperate for a hockey game. It is not within us to not buy the game. I would be more willing to have a discussion on addiction over this high horse crap you are saying to people who bought a product and complain when that product does not live up to the hype the company that made it claims.
You don't even own a PS4 and you seem to think Playstation plus is another factor to consider for this game. Well, it isn't. You need it for any game you wish to play online. Plus it gives you 2 free games every month. It more than pays for itself over time. You need to spend $500 to play NHL 20. I can play NHL 20 from anywhere around $40 to $90, depending on when and how I buy the game. Apples to oranges my friend. Also, buying it used is still no money towards EA, which in a way counts as a lost sale. I have never spent a single cent in HUT, and I never will. I don't even care for the free packs they hand out in hockey bags. I really could not care any less for that game mode.
Lastly, not buying the game won't change a damned thing because HUT keeps making more money every single year. As long as HUT keeps making more money, EA will continue to take this as good feedback and stay on the tracks they are on. The fact that you and/or 13 of your friends have refused to buy the game is absolutely pointless.
From all the years I have played EASHL it seems every year the player pool is getting smaller, yet EA is making even more money than they did previous years. Game sales mean nothing if they are making more money in other ways with the same franchise.
When I was playing XBOX ONE demo;s of NHL 15 and kept going back to play it..you know I was seriously looking to buy the PS4 version. I thought they had a sale with me. Mayby if EA would stop tuning.. we would all be happy huh?.
Also, even tho it could be done in more of a constructive way. Wouldn’t you say working together to make the best product available is the way to go, so all the complaints have actual merit. I am one who fixes and makes things good instead of just walking away from something I love. And as you say, if everyone stops buying ea nhl and they close shop now what? There is no other nhl game so now there is nothing. We are forced to make our 1 option good so really I applaud those willing to stand up for what they want.
Well, I am sincere when I say I am happy for you. I truly am. But I play EASHL only. For that reason alone, any other game than NHL 20 is borderline useless. I do not want to play with the same remaining 26 people every night. Sadly, almost everyone jumps ship for the next version. You want variety in your opponents and/or team mates? Then you must buy the next version. Pretty simple really.
If all I played was offline, I would have dumped this franchise years ago.
I don't mean to sound like I am bashing you all..that's not my intent. I just think you know..if you know the game is what it's been the year previous..why do some of you need to pre order just to be angry at EA?.
It's not really anyones fault that EA forums have all post about negative things in the game..that's EA's fault. You shouldn't be the game testers.
Cheers.
A few years back, when I was heavily into the F1 Community (because EA's NHL wasn't my thing), Codemasters was releasing some great Formula One games which culminated with the Awesome (at the time) F1 2013. Then the following year, the game was toned down. Features were missing that we had the previous years. Gameplay suddenly was off. Multiple game crippling bugs were left unfixed because patching/tuning was also reduced because of a... small dev team. Sound familiar?
The other excuse F1 fans were given is that the team was in a transition period because the next game was being made exclusively for the then "next gen" consoles like PS4 and XB1. The following year, F1 2015 came out and it was a shadow of what the game used to be. People complained. Once again we were told the same old excuses. Small dev team. Small budget. Small customer base.
What happened then? People complained even more. If the excuse we were given is that the game has a smaller team making it, why were we asked to pay full AAA game price for it when more than half the usual features were missing? But not just the nobodies like you and me, but the big content creators who spent a lot of time and effort to promote their games online, making actual Grand Prix events that lasted days with hundreds of participants in racing leagues. Until codies went and banned one of them who had been very vocal about his displeasure on the forums. Well naturally the people revolted on the forums and made Codemasters review their philosophy on the game: it's ok to take a few liberties with your license. But when you're trying to make an F1 game, you MAKE an F1 game. People don't buy your game because it's Codemasters. They buy it because it's supposed to be an F1 game.
Next thing you know they hired a new community manager who created a dialog with everyone and especially the content creators to see what the community wanted to make the game feel better to them. The following year they released F1 2016 and thanks to the community feedback it was a completely different game. It went from a total disaster of a game to something truly special and really deserving of the "F1" logo. It's been like this for the last 4 versions of the game and each year it gets better and better.
So you see, you don't need to boycott a game when you're not happy about it. We should just be able to have a discussion (this is a discussion FORUM after all) and let the devs know WHY their game is wrong and they should FIX IT! People buy your game because they want to play HOCKEY, whether NHL hockey or Amateur or whatever. They don't buy the game because it's EA Sports. People couldn't care less who makes the game, they just want to play hockey, not EA hockey.
EA didn't create hockey. Hockey existed before EA, hundreds of years before EA so stop trying to rebuild the mold. Once EA understands that, maybe things change, but it won't happen by itself. People need to let EA know.
And that's what we're doing here: we're letting them know.
Starts slow clap ......
I even showed them a clip of me running race in Autralia and keeping my car in the racing line, but the AI driver would come from behind and ram me off the track on turn 11-12. The dev's response was that it was MY fault because my car was slower... Never mind that an actual F1 driver would still slow down to avoid the collision and then pass me on turn 12 being the faster car... I even tested driving wider or narrower on turn 11, same results, the AI would aggressively turn into my car and send me flying. My fault...
Sound familiar?
I don't know if it sounds familiar or not, but definitely sounds like a skill gap situation.
Git gud on turn 11.
I am not surprised to see that there are still 200 people playing Legacy. But it seems logical those are people that haven't purchased any current gen hockey.
Get on the PS4 and see how many people are left playing 18, or 19 and you will see, it is not worth it and you essentially have to buy the next version.
I know you are not bashing us or anything like that. But to be fair, your original post in this thread does come off as condescending so maybe that's why there's a bit of hostility in the thread.
