Can a developer address this?

Regardless if there is ice tilt or momentum or a difficulty equilizer, the fact is the majority of the community believes there is. And that is a problem you need to address. Even if it's just the feel of the game and an imaginary shared delution we all have that one team always has more shots and a 10% scoring and another way less shots and a 75% scoring, even if that's not real, you are destroying the online community and the online game play by not addressing this phenomenon. If we are just delutional you need to provide a better tutorial or instruction as to what the entire community is doing wrong and how to fix it.

I am one of the people thinking that this is not true. Every year, there’s problems. Yes, for a couple years now, it is now the LTing and the servers/Bad Connections. Most of the problems experienced are related to that. Every online game have problems, the main one is Cheaters/Glitchers. People that are willing to do anything just to win games and with all the Youtubers/Streamers/Esports offering money to the top players, it is not going to stop. I have nothing against Youtubers/Esports, I am just saying that because there’s money, there’s people abusing others to be on top. Not saying that the Youtubers/Esports People are abusing it, some are, but most of them are just doing there thing being funny and/or good.

Before LTing was a thing, other glitches/exploits were abused. Cheaters will cheat not matter what and ruin the game for the others.

EA could do something, but what and if they do will it stop or create something new? That’s the problem with all that and probably, the reason why they try and fail time after time. Every game have that problem, even other fields were money or fame is rewarded have that problem, you can see cheaters everywhere trying to steal money/fame from others.

This logic makes no sense to me. They have to try, if they fix something and it creates a problem, then fix the new problem. Fix every problem, or try. They got my money, they should do their job, which is to make a hockey sim. I don't think they have. I think they are very close and have done few good things.

First of all, you buy the game as it is. It is a product, not a service. EA doesn’t owe you any thing. They offer a product that you decide if you buy or not. If you don’t like the product provided to you, you can go through the proper channels and claim a refund.

I’ve said that they keep on trying, but every time they fix something, another problem is created. And asked WHAT should they do? I’ve said what I think they should do in another thread, which is return to P2P (to get rid of the input delay) and add a report function directly in the game. If a player sees any cheating/glitching/harassment/etc during a game, the game should send a report to EA with the informations needed (game video, connection informations/status, etc...) so that they can tell what happens and take some actions. Right now, it is too complex, many cases are not even reported and when they are, most of the time you don’t have all the informations in hands to help EA.

For the simulation part, they never said that they were doing that. They even said the opposite regarding the online modes. They said that if you want to make it a simulation, you can by playing offline and by modifying the sliders to your taste. So don’t put your hopes too high. And they have done a lot, it is not because you don’t like what they do or don’t see them that they are not doing anything.

Sure they do, they owe me and everyone else a good hockey game because that's what we paid for. I'm not askin for a refund, I have fun sometimes and I still like to play.

That's a good suggestion, but to say not to do just because is lame. Why should EA get a pass? If I mess up something at my job, I gotta fix. Cant say well it might happen again so just let it go.

Pretty sure in the tilt mega thread the dev said they wanted a competitive sim. I've seen WoC portrayed as arcady with over the top hits and lots of scoring. I don't tink HUT or league should play like that though. If they want an arcade game, make NHL Hits again so NHL can be an NHL game.
  • The developers won’t address this. They don’t have the time and can’t be bothered with stuff like this apparently. Even though EA has claimed ice tilt doesn’t exist in the past no one believes them because of the way the game plays out. You could have a star studded 95OVR team with a 97 goalie but he’d get sniped on and made to look like a fool by the other team full of chl players.
  • It doesnt exist. Move on.

Did you read through the devs responses on here? https://forums.ea.com/en/nhl/discussion/comment/2091827#Comment_2091827
We already have this mega thread on ice tilt; no need starting up a new one. Closing this as a result.
