Skill assistance in rivals/hut
I have been asking here for a month atleast, for developers opinion why the assistance is still in this game.
Can anyone imagine have they answered anything?

I have spent my time studying the behaviour of this assintance and here are my opinions of it:
-teams overall grade is the key to get assistance
-better your grade worse your ai will get
-1st and 2nd perioid are the worst of this
-better your tems overall is, your goalie wont stopp pucks.
Here is some of the notes i have been marked.
Now here is example to these notes
I changed my overall to 92, opponent has base cards so he/she had about 84 overall. My players ignores the lose pucks totally and ai controlled players wont do anything to stop passlines or in front of my net they just stand in place. Tactics will not matter to this. If opponet have 90+ players this wont happen.
Next i change my overall to 83-85 and all of this was gone. Ai played normally and players gets pucks as they should be.
Next the first two perioid thing. Just finished a game of rivals. My opponent scored first of his 5 shots. Everyone of them. Wristshots just over the blueline, no mask. He passed the puck several times through my player or players. Then came the third perioid, game was 6-0 so the game was lost anyway. I scored 5 goals and the gameplay was smooth as is should be.
The goalie was explained above as well.
Just wondering what is the point of this assintance? If i was working in developement on this game I want players to buy packs in hope for better cards. Now they made it just waste of time and money if somebody plays rivals/team battles to get rewards. Just take best basecards and you will be fine.
On side note I have been interested to invest littlebit of money to stockmarkets and have been checking to invest on EA, because of they are big franchise and stable course of stockmarkets, but if they use this kind of culture of developing the sportgame i will not invest to them.
I have been hoping the developers to give their answer to this and still am. Lets see if anyone will bother...

The devs know how the game works but will never reveal it or admit to anything “unfair”.
Until there is competition in the hockey video game market, these poor game design methods will never go away. EA has no incentive to make a game for the players. They will use any trick they can to make a game that caters to revenue.
Idk if u can blame the devs. Im sure theyre just doing the best they can with whatever EA allows them.
But trust me. Youre not wrong. Its crap and has no business in our game.

The first thing is to have a good connection. A ping under 10ms is what you need to have a smooth gameplay. Even then, there’s a slight input delay, but not something that’s annoying nor make it hard to play. I usually have a ping around 4-5ms, but if I play against somebody that doesn’t, I will be downgraded to theirs to synced the game. I am lucky that I am close to a server and have a good internet connection (pretty stable, even on Wifi), not everybody is/does. The connection only affect the input delay for the human, the AI doesn’t seem to be affected by it, if they are it doesn’t show.
Another thing that I have realized is to be careful which synergy you activate and how many you have activated at the same time. I’ve tried different line-ups and it seems like synergies are applied in real-time during the game, and when you have too many activated, it affects the reaction time for AI and Human. Some synergies seem to be more taxing on the game engine than others. My beast team is 95 overall with seven synergies activated SP, 1T, DK, WM, WK, BL and AD. If I change my backup goalie to activate TK also, my players reactions seem to suffer a lot more. The game become unplayable, my poke doesn’t work even when done well, the puck passes in front of my players and they don’t even reach for it, my passes doesn’t go where I aim most of the time, etc... It feels like the game have trouble to calculate all the boost and apply them in real-time which cause all the reactions to be delayed (AI and Human). I tried with different overalls and it seems to be really based on synergy boost application. Lower team overall usually mean less synergies, high overall players usually come with more synergies.
And finally, you have the glitches and some bugs/bad programming. When you play against somebody that glitches a lot, you will see weird goals and other weird stuffs. Glitches are that. Yes, some stuff are bad programming, but what can you do about it only EA can fix them.
That’s just my point of view and what I have noticed while playing. Is it fun that the glitchers/cheaters are rewarded more than good hockey players? No. But if you put all the chances on your side (connection and team built), you usually get out on top. Good hockey players usually know some technique or strategies that glitchers don’t know. I win most of the games that I play online and offline, beside what I just pointed out at the beginning of the post, the game react pretty well.
The shills defend it by saying it's your connection but even devs have said Squad Battles are offline and only require minimal connection to stay connected to EA servers so games are recorded.

Yeah I know that connection is more than important in these kind of games. I play fps games as much as nhl and have to admit that i suffer some lags in those games too. But they are still playable unlike nhl. My ping is somewhere between 20-40 ms and there is no way to get better connection where I live. Still I think that you cannot put everythin on connection of these problems i mentioned. Tested again tonight to change teams overall to 83 and using only base cards. Team played fine and ai worked well. I lost the game 3-2 and my opponents team was around 90 overall and played wery well and my goalie stopped every easy goals.
Then changed my best cards back, overall 92. Nothing worked, lost a game 2-9. Two goals of my defense, five passed through my players and the rest of them straightline wristshots. Opponent had around 15 shots so maybe not a vesina trophy celebration to my Nabokov or what you think?
Look at the synergies activated on your high overall team. I’ve realize that if I activate too many the AI doesn’t play well anymore. My connection is pretty good, but even when I play against somebody with a bad connection , the synergies seems to really matter. Having less activated seems better.
I will try this next.
First game is done. I had wc, 1t, sp and several player synergies. Dropped wc and 1t off and ques what folks? It worked! Just smooth hockey finally. Thanks a lot boumbidiboum!!

This is more than true. I contacted couple of years ago EA's helpdesk and wondered these same issues then. Only response were about my internet connection.
Why they have to keep on making the game in the same way they used to? Why not make the AI play like they supposed to even if the human player plays like crap or the connection is way worse than opponents. The online play modes are most important modes in nowadays video games in my opinion atleast. So why not put somekind of effort to make it better.
Now if you dont have super fast connection and live by the servers you wont manage as well as you should. It is sad thing that there is not a rival to EA when you speak about hockey game...
