"Allstar" Pack -- what a joke

Prev1
I never use my coin on these because I know better... but curiosity got the better of me. When I'm done with this game I will be using the disc as a coaster. Maybe I'll try again in 2023. Don't count on it. I bought one game since 2014. Fooled me twice.

$50k cost, $6k return (generous). Not even close to a roster player. I didn't snap a pic of the first two rounds but same outcome. Can I get my coin back? lol

  • Hey... I didn't get two 82 players. I got three. Thanks guys.
  • I had to win 50 games to earn that pack. ~ 15 hours of gameplay for absolutely nothing. And collecting cards offers no reward.
  • I got 90 primetime backstrom
  • All the packs are garbage! Stop buying them. They’re not going to change lol

The only ones that might ever be worth it are the most expensive one of the three options. Otherwise, it'll be be garbage.
The one pack I did get, the 100,000 one, got an 88 Patrick Kane. Hopefully his stats will increase due to the All-Star Game. I already have an 86 Patrick Kane, so, I wasn't impressed with a 2pt bump.
As part of my Squad Battle rewards, there was an 88 Anthony DuClair All-Star card in a pack. That was unexpected.

I bought the expensive one, which promised and 85+ pplayer and an 87+ player and only received 1 88 player and the rest was garbage. Next best was a 75 player. Thieves!

No thieving brah, your not guaranteed an 85+ player and another 87+ player. You are only guaranteed one player both over 85+ and 87+. This is because they tell you that your getting an allstar player of which every single one is an 88 ovr. Your paying for the all star card and gold collectable the rest will almost always be trash. Most allstar cards go for over 100k and gold collectables are worth 50k. So relax you you got your money's worth.
  • When will people learn.......Its that wonderment of pulling something good. Just because one person pulls something good doesn’t mean that’s the norm. SAVE YOUR MONEY! They’re all junk

    Naw it’s my moms money.
  • Random is random. Vast majority of pack pulls will be nothing.

    When there's a 10% chance of 85+ player, that's also a 90% it's lower.

Packs should only be purchased if you understand there's a very good chance you'll get nothing.

We all want to hit for 1 million on a scratch off but we don’t. Buying the packs is the same although your odds are sightly better at hitting a pack than the lottery.

If everyone hit on those packs, the market would be awful
Because everyone would have all the best players for cheap.

Sorry you lost on your pack.

Everything I got in that pack is untradeable
  • After the 1st month or so I only buy the Weekly packs that guarantee the collectable and player item. I earn enough packs with Squads and use the coins to buy sweaters and players to roll in sets and get an extra 2 or 3 packs there. Between the event items, Primetime, TOW players dropping every week the odds don't make it worth it.

I think EA did a solid with that Weekly pack but they still need to add sets to roll Custom items.
  • If you open lots of packs daily your chances to get a good player will drop. I opened friday that weekly pack and that 50k allstar choice pack, got asg Oshie(from choice pack), then didn't open any packs till monday and got asg McDavid on that same pack.
Not the first time when i don't open packs in couple of days and then got something good.
  • I'm rocking a team of gold players under 84 overall and no higher. With 1 synergy active I'm kicking ****. Better than my allstar team where I had no player under 86 and 8 synergys active. Still, this is the last EA title my household will ever purchase because they more greedy than Nintendo.

Welcome to ICE TILT Or MOMENTUM which both are a joke. After many years of NHL games by EA I think this will be my last one as well. I had to retire a 97 overall team to play with 82-84 trash to win games. Since the game plays more like an interactive movie with sometimes pre-determined outcome I rather watch Miracle instead at least I know how that ended. Lol 😂

    I bleed hockey!!!!!!!!!!

That's not exactly how the pack probabilities work. But everyone has their own superstitions on what helps improve their odds. I like to visualize what I want before I open a pack like as if I'm manifesting it. Doesn't always work but it's a fun part of the process. Some people wear their lucky shirts and so on...

The probabilities are on a Pack-by-Pack basis and are not cumulative. That means that each Pack opening is an independent event, and opening multiple of the same pack does not change the likelihood of being awarded a particular Item.

I've noticed a big increase in pack luck after not playing for a couple of weeks. There definitely sum algorithms to try to get you sucked back in if you haven't been playing for awhile.
