In-game, each player will have a special Team of The Year HUT item, their highest rated item of the year. This item will also match their highest rated item for the rest of the year; upgrading to match any future upgraded versions of that player.
I doubt that they will get upgraded since it would be pretty surprising if they get +8 or more in upgrade. The only one that will probably get an upgrade is Binnington since his overall is pretty low as of right now, McDavid would have to be a beast to get over 95 overall, but it is not impossible though. Like you said, we will have to wait and see.
Fantasy is 92 over
All star is 88.
If he gets 5 goals in the allstar games he'd be a 93 in both ?
Fantasy cards are not TOTY cards. They only go up when the player scores goals in real life. There’s only 6 TOTY players (Ovechkin, Burns, McDavid, Kucherov, Binnington and Carlson), three of them are not in the All-Star event, so they won’t get any upgrade for sure for the event.
The most probable upgrade would be Carlson and Binnington since they are pretty low overall as of now. McDavid will probably not get over 95, it would requires him to score over 8 goals, it is quite a lot in the number of games they play.

Based on a number of injured stars that didn’t make it or got pulled out, McDavid looks like he might get an MVP and that’s automatic 95.

Yes, probably. I don’t think they add the goals to the 95 though, he will probably need more than 8 to get higher than 95. Anyway, we will see. I have the TOTY McDavid, so I won’t complain if he get 99 overall. Haha!

Last year, it was Crosby. He deserved it too. So that’s not 100% true. [/quote]
That’s true just thinking of the years before, Boeser, simmonds, Scott, johansen. Who knows though. Always a toss up. I feel like the Takchuks will be going hard against each other.

I think McKinnon have a good chance to be the MVP, but like you said, it can be anyone. It will only depend on who is going to want to play. McDavid usually doesn’t, but who knows, maybe he will for once. Haha!

So, yes, they will be always the highest item.
Makes sense. See what happens
I just look at say Eric Staal.

Fantasy was a typo I started this wondering about the toty cards upgrading based on the allstar cards/event
