A real Central server needs to be added. Those living in Chicago shouldn’t be getting 40+ ping.

After polling people, the general consensus for people living in Chicago was they get ~40 ping. EA claims there is a Central server but those living in one of the most centralized cities in the US are still reading 40 ping? This alone along with the rest of us stuck in the southern US adds on to why an actual central server needs to be added.

    You won’t get any positive feedback from EA reps on here. I wouldn’t hold my breath.

    Man, I would love to consistently get 40 ping (West Coast player; can almost throw a rock at EA Vancouver)

    There is a server in Columbus

    I'm all for more servers but if they can only have 3 they kind of have them in the right place if you look at a population density map of the country.

    I am curious what server your 40+ Chicago pings are connecting to because you would think the Comumbus server shouldn't be 40+ from there.

    I could've sworn the central server was Texas based. I know the traditional eastern server is in Virginia. I thought they opened a new one up in Quebec too.

    If it was I would be in heaven, Lol. I’m located in Houston and get between 38-42 ping.

    Yeah I polled a total of like 40 people, can link it, and the majority voted ~40,

    The problem with the central server is that you almost never connect to it. West or East get their way. It's never a compromise to the central players. I want the East so badly to have to suffer with my ping of 40.

    Same I can drive to EA Vancouver in 5min. Maybe I need to play right outside their building in their parking lot...

    Servers are the worst thing to happen to hut imo. The same turds that ip boot are the same turds that do the glitch to make games not count with servers. I'd rather p2p over servers if I'm gonna be screwed either way. At least my connection with p2p wouldn't be a disadvantage with every match.

    I'd rather take the odd loss because some baby needs to cheat and ip boots, than take far more losses simply because I'm at a disadvantage for not living closer to the server.

    P2P needs to be an option. And if you're going to force us to use servers, then you need to figure out a way to make it so I never ever under any circumstances have to match with anyone not in my region. If my best server location is north west, then don't match me up with people from the east or even central.
