I think the ultimate goal would have this play out similar to 2K where we build one player up and he's the same we use across our eashl modes and BAP. I'm hoping that this is a stepping stone in that direction.
They would need to rework the EASHL players to allow for insane overalls which I can't see them doing.
There are a couple of things that stood out to me. I'm the picture below. First being the bar on the bottom. Finally a bar that displays stats and standings, I'll make an educated guess and say this is also in franchise mode. I hope that this bar also displays trades/news in franchise mode. We'll see pretty soon I would imagine.
The other thing I noticed was, why are the controller buttons blurred out? That doesn't make any sense...... unless of course it leaks something related to franchise mode. But that wouldn't make any sense either since those modes are not at all connected (thankfully that didn't carry over from Madden, I hate Madden having those modes tied to one another).
The one smaller thing that I would've done is make the bottom bar black with that green (I think) accent color as a border or something so it ties in with the menus better. But that's more of a nit pick than anything.
Having said that, I'm still skeptical this is just another Live The Life where this doesn't carry over to next gen only for us to get another BAP update in 7 years. Honestly, that's pathetic.
we can't improve the gameplay and we're in a circle.
Ok, let's go improve something so that they don't give us that much?
ok ok it looks good but only until you realize that a few animations won't replace gameplay.
The saddest thing is the fact that we didn't show absolutely anything new from the gameplay that would really improve the impression of playing Be A Pro.
It's just a sauce that should have been there from the beginning, as in Madden and Fifa.
But that's how it's there now, and now EA has opened a "rescue" replica of last year's fiasco.
I know it's your job here to be negative.
But this mode has nothing to do with gameplay it is a career mode, the gameplay is the gameplay regardless as of which mode you prefer to play. This just improves on a mode that's desperately needed it for years.
I agree with you that gameplay needs to be worked on but improving Be A Pro, or Franchise mode has nothing to do with gameplay that's a completely different part of the development team.
You still have to play the actual hockey, and if it sucks like every other year (due to the brain dead AI), then this is pretty much pointless exercise. Unless you like to play with barbie boi Kens?
AFAIK there aren't alternative options like Legends because of how the storyline is currently setup.
Ah ok, thanks for the answer. I hope we can at least swap the NHL teams for created teams.
1) Is the schedule fixed for franchises with 32 teams?
2) Can we change team uniforms in the offseason for non-created teams?
3) Do the goalie’s pads still switch to random colour zones in year 2 of each franchise?
4) Have more vintage logos been added to the create team section? (Not necessarily franchise related, I guess, but I’m really want the Mighty Ducks back)
5) Are there mid season all-star roster reveals?
