Is there a plan to patch in updated equipment in the near future?
I know this stuff is seemingly trivial but it really detracts from the immersion and authenticity when the players don’t look anything like their real life counterparts. A few things:
- The default helmet in world of chel is the Bauer Reakt 100. Bauer stopped making this helmet 2 years ago. The Reakt 150 and 95 are arguably the two most popular/worn helmet shells in the NHL and both ARENT in the game. I highly doubt this is a Bauer decision and is pure EA laziness - since the game is a medium for Bauer to spread awareness/market their latest equipment releases. The fact that these aren’t in the game but we have 900 variations of clown skates is laughable.
- New CCM Tacks 910 helmet isn’t in the game.
- Bauer 2X gloves aren’t in the game.
As an aside and to add fuel to the fire: the COVER ATHLETE is wearing the wrong equipment. They have Ovechkin in Tacks skates that he’s never worn from 2014 when his CCM AS3s are in the game. He’s also in CL500 gloves when his FT1 gloves are in the game. Again - who cares but have a bit of pride and attention to detail in your product.

Gloves:Bauer 2X, warrior alpha DX(should have been in last year...) yet there are verbero gloves nobody uses... props for adding the sherwood Code V though
Sticks: no warrior alpha DXSL (in 20 anyhow.) one of the by far most used sticks.
Skates: the ultrasonic are the wrong colour. They should be yellow! There are custom versions in red but either have them all or have the retail yellow. Looks awful.

A huge number of people follow this topic and the topic is always problematic for the developer and sometimes it seems that all the flaws are just the cause of laziness.
Goalie equipment, need to add:
Bauer Vapor 2x with corrected color zones, CCM EFlex 5, Vaughn PVE 2, correct Brian's Retro Air Pack, Lefebvre(True Hockey), CCM EFlex 4 Twig, Bauer Supreme 2S and Bauer UltraSonic Twigs. At the same time, the game still has a line from Koho, which has not existed for several years.
The developers have not added a second mask for the Colorado Eagles (AHL), the mask for the Saskatoon Blades has not been fixed. In addition, Keith Kinkade has a photo of Joel Lundqvist for some reason. I understand that the developers want to leave at least some part of Henrik Lundqvist in the Rangers system, but this is a stupid fail.
I’d love to see custom colour zones on sticks such as the Bauer flylite and Nexus and on the stx sticks. But not a huge deal.
